If you're making 35k a year in Switzerland you're not having a good time. Salaries are a lot higher here because everything is very expensive, if a household makes under 4k a month theyre considered to be living in poverty, and 35k works out to less than 3k a month.

Source is I have lived in Switzerland for the past 5 years.
