Right, so you're aware if you're common-law married, you are married? Saying "we weren't married, just common law" is like saying "I'm not pregnant, just got IVF and I'm due in 5 days"

You and your common law wife are "married" in the eyes of the law. You break up but still remain living together in a platonic relationship for a further 12 months. During this "break up" in which no one moves out, she starts dating a man across the Atlantic and after (how long??) she moves to Switzerland and marries him.

Do I have this correct? If not what steps are missing?

I'm not going to divulge any info about her relationship with her current dude other than they're married and live in Switzerland, anything else you gather from that is pure speculation. But yeah her and I lived together for a while after we broke up.

Wouldn't it be great if the rerolled forum lasts ten years like the FOH forum did so 37 year old Sutekh can consult these posts?

I don't think I've ever claimed to be infallible and have even outlined my flaws for those hard to understand. I just love my ex and want to spend time with her, what's wrong with that?

I don't know about PA but a lot of places require you to stop living together for a "normal divorce" so that's probably what confused him.

Really that's weird, never knew about that. Wasn't really any problem, especially since we're such good friends. Because giving out random information about them can lead to people making judgments based off stuff they don't know.
