I really can't imagine having to take an hour every day to listen to my girlfriend talk about work (and I find it odd that some of you guys don't find it somewhat unacceptable to be forced into annoyance/boredom by your girlfriend for an hour every day). If work is that filled with shit that annoys someone they should probably get a different job.
My girlfriend and I will talk about work for a little bit, but usually less than five minutes total, and it's mutual. It's only longer if there's actually something different that happened, so there's not a lot of repetition. Occasionally we'll be doing something else or talking about something else and reference a work thing, but that's just how conversations go. I also have never noticed a change in emotional behavior during her period (she's physically a bit drained for a day or two but that's it), though she's generally more controlled emotionally than a lot of women. We like a lot of the same shows but never feel the need to force the other to watch someone they don't like. That's opportunity to do something else with your time. Life is too short for trivial obligation, imo.
