I agree, I think he was just talking down their relationship.
It is probably a "they're really in love but don't want to admit it" type of thing, maybe a "I can't tell if I love you like a sibling or a lover" type relationship. It was especially important to raise the emotional stakes of her jumping out of the plane. Then it gives more to explore later as well.

Glad to see the extra screentime for Simmons got more than just me thinking she's cute as hell. At least on the show, GIS is disappointing.
Good episode and nice little action scene with Ward's jump at the end. Little bit of a nod to 9/11 first responders too with the firemen dying after the fact, I think.

Marvel is also making a big push to recast the Inhumans in the same role that the mutants once had. Why? Because Marvel owns the rights to the Inhumans for all media and they've lost the Xmen forever in motion pictures due to a very terrible movie deal made when they were bankrupt.

That would be true if they hadn't already confirmed Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver. There is no battles to be had in the first place. Marvel just can't call them mutants or talk about their father Magneto. Just like Fox can't ever say they were Avengers.

I always find "the character is going to die" episodes extremely boring, but i got to say both actors really carried the whole episodes very well

So this show is definitely a wild Scooby-Doo / CSI / Star Trek crossover TV show without any canine element, cops are plain awful and red shirts got budget cuts. Oh, and it's Marvel, so comic lore nonsense is expected.
I'm not being an elitist there, I like watching mediocre shows like Fringe / Person of Interest / Hell on Wheels, but Agents of SHIELD feels terrible on so many levels it's stunning how the show still raises so much discussion plot wise. Coulson has shitty Deus Ex writing, random G-Man is bot script level, L'Oreal popstar hacker girl is bimbo material, PTSD-Rambo-Kungfu woman is A-Team testerone element and nerds couple are sub-teen hipster appeal (slim jeans and Converse shoes, so random!!!).
I'm curious how ABC will react since MAOT is struggling at 7m viewers when they were expecting 11, ratings wise. I'm pretty confident they'll push the show on tv limbo anytime soon (saturday B-prime, etc). Maybe Jeb will call his brother for help, like Jonathan did for Person of Interest ?

honestly skye chong and vanilla macho man agent can be cut right off this show and it would be a hundred times better. i know skye chong is a hot piece of ass and she isnt going anywhere and if you like dudes, the agent douche is probably a hottie as well. but their characters are just fucking shit. seriously fucking terrible.
just think how much tighter this show would be if it was just coulson, hermione, ron weasely and mustache asian chick going on adventures.

P.S. From one of the movie threads (I forget which, but probably all of them now that I think about it), I think you should consider never again watching any and all "What's Wrong With," "Honest Trailers," "How It Should Have Ended," "Red Letter Media," and any other YouTube channels that I've forgotten. I think you watch far too many of those, and not enough of the actual shows you're bitching about.

im just trying to be humorous, seriously not trying to troll or rustle jimmies, if i have, for that i am sorry. and i really dont remember these guys names. coulson is easy. i know the 2 brit stereotypes are called fitzsimmons , but not sure which one is which. skye chong is just me goofing on her sekrit asian popstar career. mustache asian chick? not sure on her name, i know she is known as the cavalry, but thats hardly descriptive and not as funny as mustache asian chick. i like her though. agent meathead. i dunno his real name. warren? ward? i dont care, he fucking sucks so its not important to know who he is. and as for all those movie review sites i link, i fucking love those things and all the videos i link here i have seen what they are referencing and quite a few of things they mentioned, i have also mentioned and this was before they released their videos.

for me i'd rank the characters in this order, coulson does not get a ranking, because, by most ppls accounts he carries the show or is why some tune in to watch the show and he has a current and on-going mythos in both the marvel movie and comic book world.

as i was going through this list over dinner convo (with some other friends we have tv nights with) the ppl who have zero interest in comics/marvel that whole thing (basically ppl who just watch avengers and an iron man movie here and there) have the order reversed.
wonder if anyone has had the some experience?
