since skye is half asian (irl) my initial theory was that May was skye's mother and she had to drop her off at the orphanage, cuz you know she's a SHIELD agent doing spy stuff, but this cuz May is 50 irl also, i mean in the show skye could very well just be passed off as a white girl, even the agent in her profile (it could be her mom or the agent that dropped her off) is a white agent, and May could just pass off as some 30yr old agent and not even fit the mother timeline.
but we know this can't be the case now since coulson asked May to figure out skye's case.

The reaction of the head lady near the end of the show made me think her plan worked exactly as she wanted and Coulson's team is ready for more. It seemed like even Skye hacking in and getting Simmons to help her was part of the plan.

Yeah I got that impression as well. That while she didnt predict any of the details of how it would go down, but the whole exercise was also being used to see how their new shadow ops team works outside the system.
Which only reinforces my idea that the Agents are all somewhat special / fucked up in their own ways. They are the Doom Patrol heh.

you know if you read sites, it's had 56% drop in ratings from the premiere, but wasn't the premiere like the highest ratings in forever? i mean for me so far, it's REALLY lacking i hear about all the dc universe characters that arrow is pulling in (i don't watch that show no more, it's kinda difficult, haven't for a long while) and this episode shield gives us victoria hand? as i said before, she's not even a character, she's a secretary, basically she's pepper potts, and if you read my spoiler, her mythos is even worse, she's a D-rate character.
it's really a fucking shame that this show cannot use any of the characters that joss whedon created for amazing xmen (since fox has that whole mutant license)
which is also a shame that they cannot use Abigail Brand (director of SWORD, basically SHIELD in space that deals with xtraterrestrials, more like MIB) since she's a mutant(i think, i remember she's half alien and her dad was a furry which is why she likes beast)
i mean the shield roster, really isn't that compelling, at best...
(they can't use dumdum since he's in the movies)

I've always assumed he'll have some role in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man movie, aminorrecurring role in the show would actually make some sense.
HYDRA got mentioned in the episode where they found the tech in the rock and Coulson ran into the chick he used to bang. Episode 2. So yeah, HYDRA is in the world.
They need to add some b or c list heroes or villains, cause this show is getting boring. They have a show based on an organization that's in a world with more than 7000 hero and villain characters and they can't fucking afford to throw one on the team? And yes Arrow is doing so much better because they always have a familiar character popping in.
This last episode basically gave me flashbacks of another spy show - Chuck. While Chuck was great for a while, Agents of Shield can be much much better.

Show is just bad, it's just campy and ditsy. Seems like a bunch of early 20 year old who are in some super secret organization and they act like college kids partying on a plane.
I wonder if the other agents of shield are also 90210 rejects..I tend to fast forward at least 1/4 of every episode to get past the boring shit.
This show is slowly moving to my Delete off DVR list.
