I’ll be at the final As game Thursday, wearing this:

Satchel Page when he played for the KC As and shutout Boston for three innings at 59 years old

We went to the final Rangers home game of the year, and they handed out 29,000 replica rings at random. Our group received four Adolis Garcia rings - I immediately took two of them and walked to the nearest Latino families and landed two Seager rings :trump:. The rings are actually shockingly nice with superb weight, by far the nicest single item I've ever received from walking into a game. Zero idea how common this is, because my teams stopped winning titles, but it's nice. Unfortunately, it appears to soon be a vestige of better times, as the Rangers' ownership appears primed to be cheap asses as soon as this off-season. Spending like the Dodgers for a few years was awesome, dare I say the Rangers were even more efficient. Really fun game, probably the first time the Rangers scored more than 5 runs this year.

On that note, I think I'm about done going to actual games for a while. Getting used to suite tickets for a while really ruined sporting events for me (MLB and F1).

They may be made by the same people that did the Dodgers replica rings, those were real high quality too

their final home game in Oakland is turning into a shitshow - they are giving out 25K replica Coliseums - except the fans get them as they leave and they are starting in the 7th inning - so if you want it, you have to leave the last game early.

TBH they're probably doing that strategically to avoid having an angry mob stick around after the game

Gonna be real sad to see the Padres sweep the Dodgers and tie them for the NL West lead.
