DC is saying Cain is back and training

wonder if they would give him winner of Miocic/Ngannou

No shit. Cain has only proven he is great one fight at a time, and then needs to take a year+ layoff due to injury.

the division is weak as hell, Cain is still ranked #4
he is still probably one of the UFC top 5 names, his tv ads were on forever (still maybe?)

don't think they would want him to fight Hunt or Lewis as both already have fights in feb
the big russian volkov could be a show

they will probably go with a Werdum rematch

The whole Brazilian boom in his native country kept him fighting longer than he should have.

Could have called it after the Reebok deal, the TRT deal, or the ive-had-too-many-birthdays deal.

This is the same guy who said he was using Jesus and the power of god to restore his damaged testosterone levels through prayer. Future CTE case study.

Looks like Jimmy Smith is coming to the UFC. I wonder if this is paving the way for Rogan to retire. I understand that, while he likes the job, he's tired of traveling and has been lukewarm to the WME management.

There are two things I want to make really clear. I’m not replacing Joe Rogan. Joe is still active with the UFC this year, so it’s not like I’m coming in and he’s leaving.

Joe's contract end July/August.
last time i heard him talk about it, was like he was just wanting to do the bigger events.
something like he would be happy just doing 2-3 a year

TRT and roids obviously helped Vitor but lets not forget he started in the era when everyone was roided..

Dude not only stayed relevant far beyond anyone else from that era. But beat uber talented young killers like Luke Rockhold and Rumble Johnson, would have been the only guy to ever beat Jon Jones if not for the guy seemingly not having human arm bones/joints.

Rogan says that every year now so he's gotta be getting close. I'm kinda thinking he resigned to a full deal last year only because they were waiting to get someone else and Dana probably told him they need a lil more time since something fell through. They have been trying to get a commentator for a while and we know Jimmy Smith was not their first choice-- but Dana failed to get a deal done and we never heard about it again.

He's the #1 podcaster in the world and he's got 2 daughters. He's definitely busy.

lol, you know how i can tell he wants to get out of the UFC? he's doing too many podcasts, they are coming out even more frequently since he moved to the new studio. more and more he wants to his eddie + brendon fight companions but hes either got a gig or he has a major UFC booked (which goes into bi monthly nov/dec)

He's probably gonna really quit once his studio gets full set up w/ a real gym, he already has a float tank and even a sauna. If he starts to start thinkin about hiring another Jamie, he's gonna quit UFC, look at Jaime he looks ragged, but he's still on point putting out the podcasts + yt uploads and cutting clips too, but he looks tired.

I also think he's hyping up DC and cruz way too much, almost like a coporate mandate "hey go pass the baton to one of these guys", cuz he has zero chemistry w/ them, he really does work well w/ Goldie looking back on it.

tweet still showing up for me
Breaking on ESPN: Robert Whittaker has pulled out of UFC 221 next month due to injury. Luke Rockhold vs. Yoel Romero for interim title will headline, per UFC. Whittaker will face winner.
