Not sure it has anything to do with Windows (using Win 10 here still, and it was On). I thought that Nvidia only enables it for the 40 series gpu, which is why I found it odd that just using FSR enabled it. Not sure if the Beta client has Frame Gen or not, if it does, I'll check it out again today.

I was going to by a new pc for it this month, but wth is going on in the gpu market? I usually buy Nvidia, but there's barely anything for sale above a 4070. I'm seriously looking at a Ryzen instead of paying 200% to a scalper for a better Nvidia.

It's pretty scarce for new cards. My pre made build just got pushed back for 3 weeks because they have no 5090's in stock.

Nividia isn't producing the 40 series, so what you're seeing are dwindling supplies of them causing the prices to go way up. Won't sell as many 50 series if there is a big supply of 40 series that do almost as well.

4080s on pcpartpicker that are in stock look to be about the same price they were when it was new. Lots of the listings are out of stock but all the ones with prices seem about the same (1800-2k or so). No clue what 4090s started at but they seem stupidly high now and 7900 xtx mostly seem to be not in stock.

Seemed like it ran a lot better than 30fps in resolution. I’ll have to check. I know the enhancement is coming at launch. Would be good to see though in beta :)

Just a reminder that if character appearance matters to you (which will be covered by armor all game anyways) then make sure to change that during this beta. It'll likely cost $$$ once the game releases.

Mods will probably take care of that at least on the PC side.

Just did the test. Does not seem I will be doing more than "High" settings. But the game looks amazing anyway so no biggie.

I'm not endorsing Cyberpower or anything like that, but the Valentine Day for $2,700 and a 5080 with 9800X3D is almost tempting. Although they have about 400 case and fan options all of which look horrible and RGB vomit.

Yeah, I'm in the market for a new PC and really thought about pulling the trigger on this last night. Dropping 3 grand on a Cyberpower just feels wrong though. I figured they will probably do a similar deal in a couple days for the holiday, so I'll keep mulling it over for now.

I didn't do anything either. It is one of those things to me that would be "fine" but not make me feel good or excited about the purchase. There are also just too many options for cases, fans, coolers, and everything. 95% of it is likely garbage and I just don't have the patience to sit through figuring out which options to pick. Just give me a case with no LEDs, don't care about glass, just want good airflow and sit it under the desk out of the way.

Waiting it out until the market changes would be my usual choice. But I am sitting on an antiquity here. If I want to play at all, I need to upgrade.
