Well I gave monster hunter world about 6 or so hours and I'm loving it, though there's no native PS5 version so the graphics are quite rough. Runs really great at least. I got through anjanath which was enough for me to feel the game I think. Don't really want to invest much more time since I'll switch to wilds.
I got about 18k on the benchmark which is meh but playable. Might get the PS5 version just for couch gaming.
One thing that really helped was watching a switch axe guide by arrekz. I see what you guys meant about combos. I feel foolish from before but the game really does a terrible job teaching you anything.

I thought you get it soon as you pay for it? I pre ordered mine on Thursday and got the code instantly to activate it on Steam.

I pre ordered before they were available. Typically far enough out GMG doesn’t actually have the keys. My email was on the 18th which was Tuesday (since my bday was Wednesday
) so if you bought on Thursday they should have had it immediately available.

Gotcha. I initially pre ordered it on Steam but refunded my money when I saw it cheaper at GMG. I cannot wait for this game. MH:World has the 2nd highest playtime in my Steam library following PoE. IGN's may actually be more accurate since the reviews I've seen so far mention bugs and other aspects that hold the game back. 8/10 is still really solid.

To be fair, from what WE have seen, I'd agree. It's an 8/10. Performance alone has to knock that down at least a point or even two.
