Kemp was definitely putting up better numbers than Pippen was in 94-95.

A lot of people don't remember but it was Kemp and Payton who faced the 72-10 Bulls in the Finals and pushed them to 6 games.

I give up. Gaige you're an idiot. Pippen may have been a top 5, but not a fucking chance he was the 2nd best player of the 90's. No one is going to agree with you other than batshit insane idiots.

You must not have watched NBA back then if you think Kemp was a joke. He developed a drug and weight problem, but in his prime was a god damn beast and was easily better than Pippen.

And your comment that Lebron is a perimeter player so he doesn't get rebounds shows you don't have a fucking clue how basketball works.

you're talking to a guy who thinks that lebron would win 10 DPOY awards in the 1990s

Arguing with Gaige about anything is as pointless as trying to argue with lumie that alien lizard angels don't exist, just mock him for being the stupidest fucking sports fan to ever post here and move on.

An adjustment to previously posted chart for it to make mathematical sense (sorting by field goal per game instead of by field goal total):

Stats can be used in a lot of different ways.

Do it for playoff games only and James is #2 (to Nate Robinson). Sort by how many people have taken shots in the 4th Quarter or Overtime, guess who's number? "BUT HE SHRINKS AWAY IN THE BIG MOMENTS OF GAMES!" Negative.

Who has more FG in the last 3 minutes of 4th quarters or overtimes? James. Field Goals per Game he is third (Robinson, Parker) but also is shooting at a higher percentage than either of those.

Comparing totals when the people involved did not play the same number of games is indeed a "different way" to use stats. At best it's the wrong way, at worst the dishonest way.

So switch it to regular season and playoffs. He's #2 for FG/G in the last 3 min of 4th Qtr or OT (to Bryant).

So what you're saying is he half-asses it through games, then turns it up when he realizes his lazy attitude is going to cost his team the game. Got it.

Negative. He is #2 in FG/G for the first 3 quarters of playoff and regular season games (to Carmelo Anthony). In fact him and Anthony are ahead by a fair margin to #3 (Bryant). He is significantly more accurate than Anthony in those situations, though (44.8% for Anthony to James' 55.6%). He is 5th for FG% in the first 3 quarters.

Getting my data from here btw:http://www.basketball-reference.com/...by=fg#stats::5

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to compare people's career shot info vs. historical career shot infos. I'd love to see how Jordon/Bryant/James/Bird/Insert Superstar Here stack up against in eachother for stuff like that.

As much as i hate to say it, I sorta agree with that statement LBJ would have been just as good in the 90's. The game has changed since then, ref's aren't letting the rough stuff happen anymore. Lebron is an absolute powerhouse. He's either stronger or faster than anyone they would have put in front of him in the 90's. He would do the same exact thing he does now, force double teams and pray the other 4 men on the court can score against 3 people.

He is just an all around top tier player. I just love how the flip flop argument works. its either Lebron doesn't have as many rings as XYZ, if not that argument its well Lebron doesn't have the stats of ABC, yet never works the other way in LBJ's favor.
