I think had we used him instead of letting him sit for like two damn years and he woulda been decent. Nothing compared to what we passed up though for sure.

Actually caproom wouldn't be a problem unless the Warriors screw things up this offseason (which I think the new management is too smart to do). When Lebron turns FA, the Warriors will have Biedrins (9m), Bogut (14m), and Jefferson (11m) coming off the books.

Yeah, I didn't think about the fact that LeBron has another year in Miami. This year is going to be the rough offseason.

The Celtics had Doc under contract, to give up that contract they wanted a pick. Clippers desperately need to resign Chris Paul this summer, they NEEDED to hire the coach Chris Paul wanted.

Coaches get traded, just normally for monetary compensation. I think the Heat gave up some kind of a draft pick as well when they nabbed Riley though.

I understand the logistics behind it, I just think trading coaches is pretty fucking stupid lol.

Some reports were talking about trading KG and Pierce as well. That'd be pretty crazy, I guess KG would play the 5.

I find the entire thing so odd. It just seems crazy to me that you would trade a draft pick for a coach.

If you don't think coaches matter, you don't watch the NBA. It might matter more than any other league.

There's like 3-4 coaches in this league that can give you a huge tactical advantage, enough to overcome being less talented on the floor. Upgrading to Doc from Vinny del Negro is huge, and if it allows you to keep your best player it was worth it on that basis alone.
