It shows Lebron just plays in a shitty conference and has a cake walk to the finals every year. He's too much of a cowardly bitch to ever leave the East

Right, so if he were to lose before the Finals he would be worse. So his only recourse is to win the title every single year. Makes sense man. Nice input!

If you look at them both at age 32 Lebron and Jordan both have 3 rings, but Lebron has 4 more Finals appearances. Lebron has 4 MVPs Mike had 3. Not to mention the whole 7 straight Finals thing lol

Yeah, let's use age since it ignores the fact that it gives LeBron a huge advantage.

Or do a fair comparison of seasons played and Jordan makes LeBron look like a bitch again

Yeah, let's ignore the fact that Jordan played through two league expansions. So not only did he face his dynasties at the end of their runs, he also faced a watered down league talent wise due to the expansion drafts. Good point Ambiturner!!

"The east is bad so Lebron stays in the east" doesnt tell the whole story. It'd be more accurate to say that the east is bad because Lebron is in the east. The rest of the teams know they're not getting through Cleveland for the next couple of years (unless bron jumps to the Spurs in a couple of weeks after getting crushed by the Ws in the finals, in which case - lol) so they're building for 3-5 yrs from now when Lebron is post prime and Dan Gilbert breaks up the cavs after bankrupting himself by staying so deep in the luxury tax.

Dan Gilbert is a billionaire, I think he'll be okay.

Oh man LeBron being coached by Pop with Kawhi? They'd be crazy good.

Also great article showing again, why we shouldn't compare eras.

Jordan wasn't a good person lol. He was a horrible person. The way reporting and media is now, not to mention social media and camera phones and live videos and shit, I seriously doubt he would've been as marketable as he ended up being.

Plus no one in their right mind believes he retired out of nowhere because his dad died. Dude got suspended for his gambling - probably on NBA games.

I hope the Warriors sweep the Cavs and put an end to the LeBron dick slurping.

An article claiming LeBron to be GOAT was actually posted on Golden State of Mind today.

LeBron James is the greatest player in the history of the NBA

If he repeats what he did to the Warriors in the finals last year, I'd hope that debate would be over.

Glad everyone is entering the series injury free on similar rest. Hoping to see the Warriors sweep the Cavs amidst all sorts of Lebron ref complaining, bad Kyrie taking and missing too many contested shots, and Kevin Love scapegoating.

So using that logic...doesn't that mean Lebron has faced watered down talent his entire career ? Thanks, Gaige, but watching the East, I already knew this.

It'd be most accurate to say the east is bad because Lebron has been joining up with the best talent he possibly can from the East for the last 7 years. Joined a top 3 player in the league (from the East) and a top PF in the league (from the East) in 2010. When Wade started showing his decline Lebron was like f this, I can go join up with some younger talent and use the excuse of doing it for Cleveland.

That and the East in general has lacked talent for a long while.. join up with some of the little talent there is in an already talent-starved conference and you get domination.

33 more games and less chips. There's not much to debate.

The East is a complete joke. Just look at the playoff teams this year.

They need to change the playoffs format. Make it the best 16 teams play, not just 8 from both east and west. Maybe half the teams will give a shit and actually try.

if we're going to throw around numbers, Jordan never had to play a game 7 in his 6 championships, he knew how to close the deal

You're talking to a guy that claimed it as fact that Lebron has never accepted less than max after calling anyone doing so a beta, then claimed it as a fact that Pippen made the Eastern Conference Finals without Jordan. Gaige never has a fucking clue what he's talking about.

Neither do any of the LeBron haters so what does it matter?

West so good this year Warriors didn't even lose a game. Hahahaha.

LeBron playing with elite talent but KD leaving a team that was up 3-1 in the WCF for the 73 win team he lost to.

It doesn't matter. To some people Jordan will always be the best despite Russell's 11 rings (they'll say you can't compare eras) in 13 seasons.

It's an argument with no end and I get it. The good thing is it doesn't matter. Dude has 8 years left at least. Since he plays in the pussy East he'll probably play at least 4 more Finals after this year. If his production stays the way it has, and it probably will, he'll retire as the top 3 in points and assists, and all time leader in points and assists in the playoffs.

The fact of the matter is he can't go 6-0 in the Finals so to some he'll never be good enough.

But Jordan will never play in 8 straight or win 11 titles in 13 seasons either.

It's just fun to debate.

Especially because Pippen carried Jordan.

See that is what I don't get. Why is losing in the Finals worse than not getting there?

For my money it's because a lot of teams have years when the run just isn't there. Rookie years, years when you're young, guy's hurt, not a very good team (look at Jordan's first 3 years, they were 7th or 8th in the conference just barely squeaking in...and they have to play the Celtics twice).

If you're in the Finals (with some exceptions) it's because you are on a great team, that deserves to be there and should be competitive with a chance to win. You're right at the mountain top, just need to finish the final ascent. That's when you go from great to champion. Jordan went 6-0, with 6 MVP's in the Finals. He didn't leave Chicago to do it either with 2 more superstars.
