Start farming the nameds and they will drop. Random purps started dropping for me in the high 40s. Getting more of them as I approach 50 it seems. When did you start getting purples? I still haven't seen a single one. In Mourningdale now, but was mostly in Restless before.
Nahh, simply not true. Almost every zone I go to has iron. Even the zone im in now, which is 40-50 still has iron and hemp and other shit.More tips
Before entering the 26-35 zone, you need to make sure your mining and gathering are at 100 or higher. Only high end nodes are in that zone. The exception is animals, trees and rocks.

is 23 too low? saw its in a 40+ zone!If you'd like to PL your weapon skills go to this location in Restless Shore. Boars are plentiful and respawn even quicker than most mobs. There's usually a ton of people there too to make it easier.

Yeah you will get wrecked. And its not all that. Takes like 1+ hours to level a weapon up to like 12, worse if youre melee. Then it takes exponentially longer.is 23 too low? saw its in a 40+ zone!
You're still on the right track with your thought process. Its not that you cant go there, you'll still have stuff to gather like has been said. But you'll be missing out on gathering exp quite a bit. I had to grind out skinning twice in Brightwood for example, just to be able to skin the 75 requirement, then as I progressed, the 100 requirement - both within the same zone. People that dont grind up to that point, myself included at one point, are missing out on exp they could get from those nodes. Tree Chopping is about the only thing I still have under 100 but its so rare that I see any trees above mature that I dont think its worth it unless you're concentrating on them. 53 Now and still trying to pump my numbers up in life skills. I'll have to do them anyways, regardless if I'm 60 or not - so Im thinking I might as well do them now and gain the benefit of the exp earned doing so.I haven't seen shit then, only the higher up stuff.
Voice chat? Lol. What you described is why I never used voice chat. I don't want to hear some 15yo's shitty music, bong rips, mouth breathers and nose whistlers, etc. I hate voice chat because 75% of people's voice chat is like nails on a chalkboard. I can't believe people can be in voice chat with more than a few friends.I'm usually not "that guy", but if you spam music on the in-game voice chat in a settlement, I will report your dumbass.
I forgot about how many autists there are in the world.
I always /laugh at people when I steal their skinning killsSkinning steal is out of control. they should just add a 10 sec skinning priority to whoever kill a mob/dmg the mob the most
What do you mean by that?great axe and gravity well in pvp is a snore fest
i see roaming groups and they are 75% great axe / hatchet hahaWhat do you mean by that?
You no like spicy carrot?I think once people realize just HOW MUCH they will have to harvest for later tiers, they'll leave that crap to the dedicated harvester/crafter types. I'm a bit of a completionist, and it's nice to see all my harvest skills keeping up. But man, the amount of materials across *all* tiers you need just to raise crafting skills to make higher level stuff is stupid. Then on top of that you need to open a crazy amount of loot boxes, hoping to get sandpaper, or whatever you currently need to process mats. And each new tier will add to that *exponentially*. I really hope they change it.
