Yeah, the saints shot themselves in the foot on that one, they already announced they were releasing him so teams knew they didn't have to offer a valueable pick for him. Should have gotten at least a 4th rnd for in conference, I wouldn't be too disappointed with a 5th rounder if he was going to the afc.
I have a feeling this was a favor to Sproles. We probably could've sent him to some dumpster fire team for a higher pick. I know the Redskins were seriously inquiring about him as well, among other teams. Not sure how much higher than a 5th we could expect though for a 30 year old RB who appeared to slow down last year.
He should be happy in that offense up there. Gonna miss you Sprolesy

Speaking of guys perfectly capable of dropping catchable balls, sounds like Jermichael Finley is a passed physical away from becoming a 'Hawk. Wonder where that is going to leave Zach Miller, who I think was much more valuable to the 'Hawks than what the stat-sheet showed, but looks like he is going to be in a "renegotiate your deal or get cut" situation.

I dunno, I doubt Sproles could have gotten something better than 1 year/3.4 million on the open market. At least not from a playoff team. 31 year old RB who is in apparent decline is not a hot commodity.
