browner and revis make the pats corners pretty much top 5 (probably top 2 or 3) in the league, now they need a good pass rush to compliment said secondary--and a hard hitting strong safety- if the pats do not make browner that that is....

signing julian = good for the offense but they need a Wide receiver - who stays healthy. thompkins showed flashes last year but was rookie, other rookie is out for 2 months min due to foot surgery.

lmao, raiders are something else I tell ya.
Every time they do something like this I think back to my Raider fan friends who used to say that they were just waiting for Al Davis to die so their team could stop doing retarded things. The ghost of Al lives on!

I have no clue why we signed Chris Cook to a one year deal. Wasn't he ranked dead last among CBs last year? I really hope this is a special teams move.
I typically don't care a whole ton about off the field stuff because I know there are a ton of players getting into shady shit that just never actually sees media attention, but Cook is a certain special type of shitty human being. I'm glad he's off the team.

So Revis is only a 7m Cap hit for Pats. Because of a 2nd year that will never be paid. He will be a 5m hit next year even if he does not resign. So I think Pats are likely to do so given he is very possibly the top defensive player in the game.

PFF ranks corners with at least 25% of teams stats Pats have 4 of the top 20 last year. heres a linkPrimarily, Lets Talk Secondary - Blinded by the Lombardis: Patriots Forum - Sons of Sam Horn

2. Revis- best Yards/snap in the game, looking at stats he and Sherman are easily the top two corners in NFL
6. Logan Ryan- Best Rookie Corner last year. Not actually a top 10 corner but very good
14. Brandon Browner- Insanely low YAC
19. Alfonzo Dennard - Has been very good when he plays

Arrington was 72. Shame his contract means cutting him costs money on cap. Also Broncos paid 57m to downgrade DRC to Talib.

With Mccourty being one of the top Safety Pats should have one of, if not the secondary/pass def. Pointless to speculate at this point but they might very well be the Sb favs right now.

Pats also Re-sign Edleman and signed Brandon Lafell at 3/11

Pats also resigned

Pretty excited over the Lions pickup of Tate, starting to get alarmed at our lack of priority in fixing our secondary though.

Tate was a good pickup. Big contract for a guy whos upside is a good but not fantastic #2. Yet its exactly what Lions need.

Not sure they become real contenders anytime soon but entertaining team to watch.

Tate is probably best as a punt returner. He can make clutch catches but he will also drop many as well.

Not after Manning retires apparently. The Broncos are setting themselves up for some dark ages.
It would be pretty hilarious if he got hurt and missed most of the season after all this. I mean, in a schadenfreude sort of way, not in a rooting for people to get injured sort of way.

Project late first early second round, perfect fit for Pats.

with revis, browner, arrington, ryan, dennard and mccourty at safety, the patriots easily have the best secondary on paper.

hopefully on the field too

Seattle still has the best imo. Best corner and best safety tandem + experience together.

As usual between Seattle and New England it will come down to which training staff can hide their systemic PED abuse from the testers most effectively.
