Like I said, it's not really something I see talked about a lot so I wasn't sure. And yes, I would classify "successful" as winning the Super Bowl. You can certainly still see more success from an FA pickup, TO and Philly come to mind, as does Manning and Denver, but there's few guys that would qualify as "the missing piece". It appears Bennett was one of those guys, so good for him.
You could argue Jacoby Jones was for the Ravens, and Darren Sharper for the Saints.

He wasn't a FA. They traded for him.
I know they did, Debbie.

I still think Bridgewater is the best QB in the class by a wide margin. I can't believe how far he's fallen since his, admittedly awful, pro day. His tape is excellent pretty much across the board. The draft "experts" that have him sliding to the 2nd or 3rd are of their rockers, unless the entire league has talked themselves out of a solid pick. I don't see him making it out of the first round. If nothing else if he's there at 24, I think the Bengals think long and hard about it.

Bortles has the highest ceiling, and he's not that far from being ready. Higher risk than Bridgewater but potentially higher payoff. He's got everything scouts like, but I think he's a crapshoot.

JFF is... gonna be fun to watch? He's certainly as they say electrifying, but damn the guy has some serious mechanical problems. I dunno.

I've not seen enough of Carr to form an opinion.

I think the rest of the class is pretty shit, but teams are going to like certain projects. I like Boyd.
Two of these top QB's will go to the Browns and Raiders so you can expect them to end up on the bench somewhere else then eventually out of the league in under ten years.

It's such a crap shoot I'd hate to take any of them unless you were a team that was just a qb away from winning a Super Bowl, like the 49ers.
You're all just jealous of the most consistent team in the league
Who replaced this Dallas poster with an entertaining and amusing one? And can they get they guarantee it will stay this way when the actual season starts?

Man, it's my dream that both Bortles and Manziel are gone with Teddy sitting there at 8. Spielman can't pass on him in that situation, can he?

I am really loving all the hate on Bridgewater by these "Draft Experts." Yet, they continuously bring up how good Manziel is, how he'll be the top QB etc. Manziel is a wanna-be playboy with no mental talent that runs an offense based on running like a chicken with its head cut off and then praying to god his shitty throw makes contact with someone. I hope he goes RG3 style, major injury right off the bat so I can say "told you so." This whole thing reminds me of the Luck vs RG3 crap, and it was a general consensus with the analysts that RG3 was the best thing since sliced bread when it became closer and closer to draft day (ESPN drooled over him).

Yesterday Sportscenter brought up how Manziel compares to Tim fucking Tebow like it was a positive thing. How the hell can being compared to Tebow be a positive thing? I would draft him in the late 3rd round with comparisons like that. Maybe he can be the wanna-be playboy water boy?

Am I being to cynical?

No. Shit team with a history of mediocrity will pick him up with high hopes and fanfare and he will just be another name in the top 20 draft busts being shown on nfl network.

Its good that he has hobbies. He needs something to do in the post season when Brady is playing.

Yeah those extra two weeks sure were probably boring for him.

Maybe Tom can teach him how to dance in the off-season

Word around Kansas City is that the Chiefs and Alex Smith have not been able to come to terms yet on a new contract. Rumor is that Alex wants 17mil a year, he currently gets 8, and the Chiefs are offering around 10-12. His current one is done after this season and he's a free agent. Chiefs could be looking to draft a QB fairly high this year. They draft 23rd overall in the 1st round, but have no 2nd round picks(due to Smith trade).

So they are basically hoping that somehow Manziel or Bortles falls in the first round like Aaron Rogers did several years ago, he was taken 24th.

I don't see any other QBs worth a 1st round pick outside of those two, and the Chiefs really have no ammo to move up higher with no 2nd round picks. Actually, they'd like to move back and get multiple 2nds for giving up their 1st, but I'm not sure that strategy is going to get you a decent QB, unless you really like Bridgewater or Carr
