I really wish SF could find a really good quarterback. I think Kittle + Aiyuk + Deebo as a group would be as scary as Hill + Kelce if they had a really good QB throwing to them, not to mention Jordan Reed. Pair that with Shanahan's run game and that's going to be a problem for defenses, especially if they can improve the o-line in the draft.

You guys had a miracle that Reed wasn't hurt more than he was. Although I knew that would happen soon as he left Washington. Still think Hardman has a bit of a breakout year as Chiefs #2 WR next year once they move on from Watkins fully.

It’s kinda hilarious exactly a year ago you had all these people talking up Jimmy G....

Niners were great and the fans I met awesome. I’m a little butthurt that they flopped so hard injury’s or no. All the fans I met wanted a rematch and it was all good hearted fun. (Minus one asshole that talked shit at half time in the bathroom but we all have one of those assholes in our fandom)

Jimmy G isn't really a "bad" QB, he just isn't a Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes, etc. level talent. He clearly wasn't the problem this year, injury was. And the 49ers probably win last year if we played just about any other QB not named fucking goddamn Patrick Mahomes.

That said, his seemingly inability to stay consistently healthy is concerning. The troubling thing about these trade talks is that I'd put Cousins and Jimmy G in about the same B+ tier of QB. So, if we get to just make a swap? Sure, we theoretically get a guy who is basically the same talent wise, but seems to be able to stay healthy more consistently. If we have to "give up" anything for him? Stupid.

If the 49ers go after kirk Fucking Cousins......wow. That would immediately catapult Lynch and Shanahan into trash tier. They cant make that move in 2021 NFL landscape. How retarded would that be. Injury is a huge factor and everyone knows it was a huge part of their failures this past season. So yeah, Cousins would bring a sense of consistency as far as staying healthy. But fuck, they were just fine with a lost season by having the 2 headed monster of Mullens/Beathard trot out there for almost the entire season. So they mine as well take a RISK and go after a younger QB with higher upside than get rid of Jimmy G for Jimmy G.

The only evidence we have of a veteran QB turning his career around to such a degree that they didnt look like the same player was Ryan Tannehil. And I dont think that happens with Cousins. Because the 49ers front office has to be thinking Cousins would ascend to a much higher level of play after they got him, otherwise why even get him? They want to win a SB and the current version of Cousins cant produce that IMO.

As everyone has stated, if they get Cousins for essentially nothing and swap him for Jimmy G, it's whatever. If they actually give something up for him, then it is highly questionable. Trash tier? Come on man...

Again you’re not understanding the swap. He’d only have to be better if the 49ersgive up significant assets to get him. If the get basically for free then they traded one average QB for another. No big deal.

I get it. But why even make the fucking move if you arent going to get significantly better? yeah, they were one throw away from winning the SB, but I just dont understand why you would move on from Jimmy G if you arent going to get better.It doesnt make sense to move on from him if you admit what your getting isnt much better. (And then say its ok because you didnt spend anything to do it.)

Just doesnt make sense you mine as well keep Jimmy G then.
