I hope AMD's 9xxx series destroys Nvidia's 6080 and below at this point.
I lost a lot of hope with AMDs GPU side. For as fantastic of a leap the 6xxx series was for them, the 7xxx series seemed like a step backward. I hope they can figure it out.

My GPU is starting to do a faint whine or noise at times. I'm riding it till it catches fire one day. The fact I'd probably have to upgrade my PSU to go higher on another video card means I'm riding it as long as I can now.

Dint AMD say they are done with top end cards? Only concentrating on midrange now?

They did. Smart move, especially with what the nVidia cockfags are trying to charge for these. A lot of poor nerds will go with the "cheaper, almost as good" option.

There will no be no high end RDNA 4 cards and they are skipping RDNA 5. Instead they are focusing on UDNA architectures which the Playstation 6 is already rumored to have in the design specs.

The biggest hope right now is intel (unfortunately). They seem to actually be putting effort into GPUs, unlike their CPUs.

I went with a 7900XTX this time around. Bought 1080ti/2080ti/3080ti then decided nope. COVID prices and 'life' helped make that decision but I got tired of the 'neat new thing that only works on our $XXXXXXX card but isn't really as cool as we said it will be and/or only is added after you finish the game' and just went with a solid card. I do not regret the lack of shiny water one bit.

That's because you barely know what water looks like, living in NV and all :D

If AMD could just get their shit together on video drivers. I got the 7900XTX because it was so much cheaper than the 4080 Super, but my god these drivers are god awful.

Yeah, thats been always their problem. THE DRIVERS. But still if you can play your games the savings more then make up for it. I myself cannot imagine paying $1500-$2500 for a fucking video card, lol. Fuck that.

I feel like they have that one Veteran employee that is completely refusing to change and improve things and they can't fire them. It makes no sense at this point when you see how well their CPU drivers are.

If it was a management problem you would think they would poach someone for drivers. Of course Nvidia has all the freaking money so there goes that idea.

What specific driver problem? I have not had any and I've had my 7900XTX since February. I got so tired of Nvidia problems I always did a 'clean' install every driver update.
FYI I don't mess with either brands 'experience' garbage , I know how to configure a game.

I've had a 6700XT since 2021 and haven't had any issues with drivers. There was one game where I had to roll back a driver 1 month because of a crashing issue, but that's literally it.

The issue for me is that Adrenalin is a pile of dogshit compared to the nVidia control panel.

Helldivers and Darktide I have all kinds of issues. I had to roll back to a driver from last year to get it to work.
