What is the VRAM on them? They need to be 20GB+ not 16GB. The 5090 for sure will. I'm not sure about the others.

5090 will have 32gb, 5080 and 5070ti will have 16gb, 5070 will have 12gb, per reports; Confirmed on 5090 and 5080, reported on the 5070ti and 5070 IIRC.

More like these are the pre-tariff prices.

That's indeed probably why those chose those prices. Nvidia isn't known for its charity (or leaving a single penny on the table).

anyone know a friend who knows some Italians who work delivery for Amazon?

5070TI isn’t bad but i’ll probably keep my 3080Ti in service for another year, maybe two if i’m lucky. With the way monitors are improving and the real lack of great visual pc games lately it might be wise to wait this year out unless your resolution needs the upgrade badly.

They're not 16gb either.

But don't worry-- it's better performance wise than a 4090. Trust me bro.

Are these metrics before or after the power connector fries the card?

Compare next gen with frame gen versus current gen without. Even the CEO couldn't keep a straight face.

Not long ago the 4070 was "twice as fast" as a 3090.

We generate more frames per frames, and as unreal as it sounds, we're getting more frames per second now.

What kind of horseshit even is that. Is there a point in generating 3 frames instead of 1? Won't that create even more random weird issues with glimmering and hazy shit. And who needs to play 4k at 240fps or whatever, is there even any monitor that displays this shit? Are there even cables that can deliver that much info? I thought I remember 4k120 was already kinda hitting some issues.

I mean clearly the card will output some good FPS even without that shit it's just very fucking weird they went this way. I guess they really needed an exclusive DLSS for the new cards but couldn't think of something that might actually be good(while also being named "AI" because otherwise the stocks will tank, everything has to be AI so the stocks keep going up).

At least they are trying to keep the hyperbole to merely Ridiculous rather than Ludicrous levels.

I can't wait for the hype cycle on "AI" to die. I mean, at some basic level I guess its "intelligence" in that its providing summaries, looking for patterns, etc but there is nothing original or inventive or creative about it. This is just the same shit our games have been doing forever, just using the extra GPU cycles and dedicated tensor cores to do it more efficiently. I love that the most valuable company in the world is a graphics card company that got that way by accident, because you could mine with their cards, and then they accidently lucked into the next wave of the Great IT Hype Cycle.

Its come a long way from the GeForce Riva TNT I bought in 1998.

The 5070 TI looks good. I too don't understand the 5080 in this lot. And the gap between the 5080 and 5090 is huge. I guess it's 100% pure price positionning so customer will buy 5070

So if you're not willing to run gay ass upscaling and fake frame generation it's basically a 4090+ ~20% ?

Trust me bro 4090 owners are crying right now. I saw it in a video parroting the CEO of NVIDIA's statements. The 5090 is fucking killing it.

20%ish upgrade without AI interpolation stuff seems about on par for a single generation. It's a halo product for people that spend a lot. Most of the volume is in the 60 series cards, 4060 and 4060ti install base is 7x that of the 4090, and about 11x if you count the laptop version.
