Probably 2400 with MSRP 1899 or somethingBet the 5090 is going to retail at close to 3 grand. They're just farming whales and AI hype with that card.

there's a shitload of cores in this thingI'd be surprised if there is that big of a performance difference between 450w and 600w as we've seen in previous generations the gains per watt really fall off after a certain point.
Absolutely true unfortunately. Newer games are clearly regressing. It's bizarre. And yet there are no games worth upgrading for this
Until there is some new consoles with true 4k 120FPS, you will never need this $3000 card, lol.Absolutely true unfortunately. Newer games are clearly regressing. It's bizarre.
AND IRONICALLY, video game AI is getting far worseUntil there is some new consoles with true 4k 120FPS, you will never need this $3000 card, lol.

Why would there be? They pay like 1/6th of what some random LLM wrapper API company is paying. There is zero coding talent left.
Lack of talent doesn't have much to do with why we're getting shitty games (and especially lack of programming talent). We're getting exactly the products that the funders want. If publishers didn't want DEI infested trash, developers wouldn't be making it.And even then, the DEI infested game industry which has now completely cratered 90% of any talent left, will be so poorly coded and designed that only 1 or 2 games every five years will even come close to hitting that on next gen consoles.
There is zero coding talent left. And barely a handful of anything resembling talent left.
I bet it'll be a scalpers paradise again with the dockworkers strike starting Monday. Prepare your buttholes.
Talking about air cargo will probably get me to go on a super angry rant about things I can't talk about, but lets just say the whole thing is fucked on purpose, and you only know the icing on top of just how fucked it is.I don't believe GPUs, consoles, etc will be impacted at all by east coast dock workers strike. They are shipped from Asia by air, not ship and go to the west coast for the tariff entry anyways. The tariff stuff on high end electronics mfgd in China anyways made Nvidia and others put together final assembly plants all over the world so they come around from all over.
Now cheap ass china shit and toys will definitely be hit by the strike, no endless stream of new funko pops for timmy
It seems difficult to launch a 5080/5090 this year anyways, 4080 was announced early Sep 2022 and released in Nov, we're already almost in october with no official announcements.

Ah, no argument there then, but also, as long as everything is turning to DEI slop, it doesn't really matter does it? A few extra fps isn't going to turn it around for Concord.I was talking about performance and degradation of optimization for the last five years.
Doubtful. Indie games will switch to other engines before Unreal if they still don't trust Unity's new management and polices (rolling back all the bullshit from a year ago and again guaranteeing a grandfather clause).Everything is going to be running on the same game engine in like 5 years lmao
everything will be unreal
Unreal is not unity.Doubtful. Indie games will switch to other engines before Unreal if they still don't trust Unity's new management and polices (rolling back all the bullshit from a year ago and again guaranteeing a grandfather clause).
I play maybe one Unreal game a year and don't see that changing for the foreseeable future.
Yes, but it hasn't been stagnant OUTSIDE of the games industry, where it keeps going up, particularly for the most in-demand skills. And no Mist , pay has been stagnant for programmers and coders in the game industry for the last forty years.
Unity is the source of most of the unoptimized dogshit feel of many modern titles. It's just not good.Doubtful. That's a disingenuous point. There are clearly series of games that have reduce in quality as they've acquired DEI bs. Anything Ubisoft, Bethesda, etc. I mean, it's really not arguable. Claiming is the same with asian games is silly, as that's a much more recent phenomenon which correlates with their late adoption of DEI. Like Concord. You know, the biggest flop in gaming history.Yes, but it hasn't been stagnant OUTSIDE of the games industry, where it keeps going up, particularly for the most in-demand skills.
Your other point is just stupid. Shit optimized games has nothing to do with DEI, and is a trend that goes back way further than DEI. Most Asian games run like frozen dogshit and they don't have DEI there. I'll believe that North American/European creative departments (art, writing, marketing) have a big case of woke, as is tradition, but your "logic" regarding coding is so far off base.
You are very, very dumb and I'm just going to put you back on mute.
