That's the point. He does sponsored content. That being said, he has a personal like for old school RPGs and was a diehard EQ fan. So I think he will do the game justice.

Using Twitch megastreamers as a marketing tool is very inexpensive and doesn't use up many company resources compared to traditional marketing methods.

It means everything. Using Unity engine and then supposedly heavily modifying it...where have I heard that statement before...? How the game plays is the primary reason people play games. Not being able to play the game because your scope was too massive, three big spheres of content, AMAZING crafting...none of that is worth shit if you can't get the game to play right. You really are stupid.

2002, shouldn't Unity be far ahead of something from 10 years ago? Every engine has its own quirks that have to be addressed, though. Hopefully, Brad and Co. are working them out and it does seem user friendly.

Best thing about vanguard was the class design by far. rest of it was pretty shit. and we can only judge the game on what it was, not on what it would've been.

That is my point. They don't have to spend a fortune to license a crappy engine that needs years of re-engineering to make it work how they need. They just get Unity and go. Zzzidiot is trying to say that they can't make a good game with a low budget if they failed to make one with a big budget. Which is as moronic as all his other comments.

Unity is a really powerful and good engine, they just need a talented team to make it work right. We'll see when the game enters alpha/beta and then release if the team is capable of this feat. But yeah, creating games is easier than ever and the free engines available (Unity and UE4 especially) are quite amazing. Creating their own network layer stuff for Pantheon will be necessary, but they can (and have) easily jump into world building and worry about replacing Unity store assets later.

Cautious optimism my friends -- and don't feel pressured to back. Gotta see where this goes first. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm not certainly not going to invest any money until there's a product.

I never implied people should care about him. I'm stating that he's well known. He's very wealthy from doing this. You claimed the contrary, which is just false.

He has a massive fan base and reach to advertise a product. Using mega streamers for marketing is the new thing because it's cheap and not resource intensive.
