I find EQ's numbers highly relevant since it's a zoned game and Pantheon will be a zoned game.

God bless you, and I'm sure the gaming producers feel the same but I can't play crap. I can't read crap. I can't even watch crap. Not anymore. I'd rather play MOO2 than whatever is new and shiny and better looking than MOO2 but not as good as MOO2. MMOs are the same, I regret that my work schedule prevented me from really playing the latest round of progression servers. If Pantheon fails and SOE releases a new set of progression servers I'll arrange work so I can play - it's pretty much the only existing MMO that holds any interest. I loved VG in its horribly bugged but thoroughly charming state - way more than EQ, it was my #1 MMO, but now, after all the horrible plastic surgery that SOE has done to the game I can't play it.

I tried to like TSW but the quest grind killed me. Emerald Dream was fun for a little bit, but I've already done Vanilla WoW and it was okay, not great. I didn't need to go back.

@a_skeleton_03 enjoy your party, but not sure why you wasted whatever precious time you have on this earth (one day? six months? twenty years? sixty years? 200 years after medical advances that are coming?) offering advice that you know I wouldn't ever listen too. You could have slammed two jello shots in the time it took you type that.

The numbers aren't relevant because they are fifteen years old. Some aspects of the game are immensely cheaper now and some are astronomically higher. You are so blinded by your fervor it isn't funny. Be excited about the game. Root for it. Tell everyone it will be amazing. You should personally never mention anything technical though. You should stick to lore discussion and how the game will make you feel inside. Don't discuss engines or budgets or anything else tangible. Your brain is wired for liberal arts so stick to your wheelhouse and be an empty hype machine.

It is Saturday morning and I have thirty guests coming over tonight for pasta and beer pong and Jell-O shots. Going to be an odd night.

To be fair EQ is the only MMO that has its own sub forum here that is thriving. How is it not relevant ?

Thriving may be a little strong considering the DAOC emu thread has more posts than the entirety of the EQ sub forum.

I decided to finally hop off the fence and nab a 45 dollar slot before they were all taken.
I don't have much experience with McQuaid's MMOs, but I like the idea of it and want to try something new.
Been lurking here for weeks, you guys are great entertainment.
