Anyone else showing a better idea? I haven't seen one so I'll support this and anything else that comes out (like CU) with a reasonable chance to do something different.

In regards to the video I just posted, for you guys that remember EQ beta, the only thing I ever remember changing were the character models. Anyway, you can't compare EQ 1997 to where this Pantheon is... Brad may want to speak to the similarities and difference to starting EQ vs Pantheon but two completely different situations.

Not to derail but since we are posting 1997 footage, why not share a just released video from the EQ franchise. Maybe this will provide some context of what EQ was and what it is and what Pantheon is attempting to portray and create.

Yea, don't let people make you feel guilty about supporting something you want to support.. Just consider what they are saying. This place is like parenting at times. They mean well, but sometimes they need to beat the fuck out of you to make you realize it. Ultimately, I'll stay the course.

I wish Brad could have asked him to make the kickstarter video.

Well I just did a cursory glance and won't go past the first load of the page , but did get at least to the ExMortis dude proudly displaying his swords say "he is sad Brad wastes any time coming here".

Anything that can make him sad is a plus in my book.

On the KS front , was hoping they would have new real screenshots , something to keep the bump from yesterday going as I think just those two shots helped more than anything so far.

I are disappointed though.

And it shows. The KS has literally hardly moved today. About 3k so far and 19 backers.

Project Update #12: The Timeline of Terminus
Posted by Visionary Realms, Inc. ? Like
B.C., Before Collisions

The Celestial Era

Before the age of Pantheons there was the Celestial Era, a time where one deity would rise to rule the universe. Although her true name is unrecorded, her followers, the Celestials, came to name her Nexus. Over many millennia the Celestial war wizards of Terminus spread her influence across the universe eventually forcing all other civilizations and pantheons to bow before her might and benevolence. Under the gaze of Nexus, peace reigned for centuries until the corruption of Myraxys began to take form.

The Dark Era

From dark regions within every corner of the universe, a mysterious and malevolent force began to consume the souls it touched. This sinister force overtook many words including the throne world of Terminus. Although she was powerful, Nexus could not keep the corruption from advancing. Using the magic called the Terminus Arcana, Nexus destroyed all life in the universe, purging it of the taint of Myraxys. And so the Dark Era came to a close. But as planned, a spark of Nexus remained and would come to form a new age on Terminus.

The Lost Era

The time before the first planar collisions and following the Dark Era was a near lifeless void. The universe of Nexus was nothing but rocks drifting in the darkness. It is during this time that the residual forces of the Terminus Arcana began to reform into a spark of Nexus. In time, Nexus was resurrected and using her divine powers reached across the fractured veils of reality to seek out new life for her dead universe, creating the first planar collisions.*

A.C., After Collisions

The Cataclysmic Era

Impacting on Terminus were thousands of chunks of other worlds, appearing and colliding with one another. So began the Cataclysmic Era. The patchwork landscape was in constant upheaval as the foreign environments attempted to settle into place. Fear and panic ruled the populations. Nexus made herself known to the people of Terminus, saving what she could with what little power she had. The reptilian race of the Vrilaska?s sunk into the ground and formed the great Lost Lake. Soon after, the land settled and war began.

The Martial Era

When the land settled the wars erupted as pantheons attempted to survive. Without their origin planes, the misplaced deities relied upon their followers to retain and gain power. Conquest and crusades consumed Terminus. The Dwarves from Strontia stood their ground, keeping to their fortress lands that ferried them to this world. Others such as the Ogres from Gruundark found themselves scattered by civil wars sparked by the greed of their own gods. By uniting their three warring Pantheons, the Humans from Daera were able to gain the most ground. The bloodiest campaign of the era was known as the Dragon March and its brutal climax signaled the end of the Martial Era and the defeat of the tyrant godking, Oranthel whose dragon and revenant army nearly toppled the Elven kingdom.

The Pantheon Era

Although this era would not be free of conflict it stood as a time of peace and coexistence within Terminus. It was at this time that many of the pantheons began to reestablish their hierarchies and civilizations set the borders that would hold for centuries. The deities? powers rose as their civilizations prospered. With greater powers most of the pantheons were able to create majestic planar sanctums, pocket realms that mirrored their divine origin planes. This was also the era in which Oranthel struck down his former ally, the dragon god of Skyfen and claimed his throne.

The Risen Era

The world of Terminus had seen three hundred years pass when the second wave of planar collisions erupted. Along with this came the reemergence of Nexus and the appearance of fallen heroes once thought lost in the first planar collisions. This is the current age of Terminus.

Is the kickstarter losing money again? I could have sworn is was above 201k earlier and now it looks like it's back to 200k.

When a Kickstarter project stays flat or doesn't project out to reach its goal it's not uncommon for people to.pull their money out early.
