Didnt even know there was a discord, but I'm down to join. I did join the POE1 guild but never actually talked aside from an occasional hello.Well it seems like a sizeable number of you fuckers are excited over PoE2 which is great since it seems like it's gonna be a big improvement over PoE1 .. I played PoE a little here and there but never spent a dime on any of it nor really dove into it.. the complexity of it with all the skill tree shit and 1000,0000,000 items for currency just made me glaze over and just never had the desire to get over that learning curve or get a PHD in trading shit.
Still this seems to have made the new player experience a bit better while still having more shit than I can think of it learn so I am going to be diving into it blind once it releases. Which honestly is probably the best way to enjoy the first playthrough.
Since I don't have any money spent on PoE1 or any of the cosmetic bullshit or stash tabs I am wondering how much extra is worth buying on this? I am going to for sure buy at least the $30 pack but is it worth it to snag the $60 like how much is needed to unlock a good amount of stash tabs and whatnot? I am not going to buy the $480 bullshit but whats a good ROI in your guys opinions on the currency?
Also hopefully we can get a few more people to use the discord some as when a new game launches is a good time to get to interact with a good number of forum goers. If anyone has any requests for channels or anything let me know I'll set it up. Right now I went ahead and renamed the D4 section since that game is pickled pig dicks.
I seeJanx and a few others on recently but I have assumed they have been playing classic WoW.
If nothing else, the currency trade from the most recent league is going to be there which should make selling a lot easier for people that don't want to use the trade site.
With all of the combo things they previewed am hopeful that at least duoing content will be more fun than simply running with an Aura bot.

So I just looked it up and of course I played POE off and on since beta but the first real league I played for longer was Legacy league back in 2017. I even bought the support pack. Thats when those league stones would drop from past seasons. You would equip them and the next zone you went into was that leagues mechanic.

I was not disappointed in it when I bought it but yeah. It is in no way a big deal.
FYI on the guild stash, Jonathan Rogers did confirm in the interview today with Ziz that guild stash tabs will not carry over and will need to be repurchased.

Yeah it only holds one of each unique which fills up fast. Stuck them in there while doing campaign to disenchant when I got my disenchanter up to max level to disenchant uniques but I found out once you put one item you couldn't put in another of the same.
I'm still in wait and see mode. I'll probably wait until the game goes live and free because I'm not sure WASD and me will work together that well, but that's a me problem.
Got 400 points or so from buying a couple of supporter packs. So if I go that way got a few points to spend on tabs or whatever.

Ok thanks, I missed that. I might buy a key then that had me pretty concerned. I would like to buy a new map device but they are all so large and my hideout is tiny. The timekeeper one just went off sale, sounded cool but I don't need a constant reminder of how slow I am lol.

For those of you newish to poe and planning to try poe2, keep in mind a lot of the ‘gameplay’ in Poe was not the game, but path of building. The sheer autism of the Poe player base is simply not something that will translate well to a larger audience. I expect to see a lot of drop off and some really shit takes on the game very soon after the ea launches.

While Path of Building is very important turning the game in to PoB or PoB in to the game is something you do to yourself.

From what I've gathered the mercenary plays "better" with WASD but I think click to move will work just fine there as well.
I plan on trying the controller and WASD but the controller kinda need a insta swap to keyboard for inventory tetris before I commit to that.
D4 worked really well on the Steam Deck with controller.

Play Enter the Gungeon and you will understand why WASD is better for something with shooting/reload mechanics and rolling. I don't mine WASD so will be running that on the Warrior. Let us see how well it does.
