with zero PS5 exclusives for the forseeable future hard to really say why anyone would buy one unless they are rich and really want to play PS5 only games they haven't played in the last 4 years
i could also see a wolverine or GTA6 PS5 Pro edition releasing next holiday making a launch buy a bad decision

That's what the upgrade for the current Slim model costs. Not easy to find either; Amazon doesn't sell it at all in the US and the only real option is either Gamestop (mail order) or direct from Sony. It's also only available in white, so people who like using black plates to hide how ugly the thing is are screwed too.

Pathetic shit - consoles really are in the mud. Nintendo still uses piece of dog shit hardware that's slower than my ipad pro, Xbone is worthless if you have a pc, PS5 - probably the only regret I've ever had buying a console. I think I have played maybe 3 games on it since release? None of which were "must play" games (maybe og GOW). ALL of my recent gaming experiences that are memorable came on PC (MH:W, CP2077, ER, etc). Why do these pieces of shit exist? It made sense at $399, absolutely - as has been said at $700 you're not far away from a competent, much faster pc....

I'd assume that it's a customized version of FSR 3.1 Frame Gen. Should be interesting to see Digital Foundry's analysis of how bad the artifacts and latency it creates are, compared to the current versions of FSR/DLSS.
