Watched Kick-Ass again. Still a fun stupid action movie. 8/10
Decided at the same time to watch the sequel , which I didn't remember much about and turns out it's for a good reason. They went back to the same well too many times (as they do) 5/10
Looked up the director and saw he did a movie I'd never heard of called Layer Cake. Watched it today and it was excellent! It's a British gangster movie involving drugs and staring a pre 007 Daniel Craig. Trivia said that this is the movie that made the Broccoli's consider him for Bond. 9/10. Was a real pleasant surprise, I just 'had it on' and then realized it was a gem and stopped what I was doing and watched it. Highly recommend if you have not seen it. If accents give you a problem 'get' a copy with subtitles.

Watched the Caine Mutiny - the Court Martial on the plane. Pretty well done. You don't need to have seen the original. Entire movie is a trial.

Watched this last night on Netflix. It's a 6/10 for me. I had no problem with Wahlberg and Berry is still looking good for her age, but the story is meh. I felt like at a couple of points you could have finished the movie at that spot and then realized there was like another hour left. This is pretty much a second monitor watch type situation.

Tried watching Napoleon on the second leg of my flight and turned it off about the time he is made king. Visually nice looking but God awful boring. Bad enough not to watch it on a plane. 2/10.

Ouch, that is a hard feat, and I'm speaking as someone who is fly's several times a month and half those times as a passenger. (I've now rewatched Dune2 about 8 times and I am not exaggerating..)

Watched MASH the movie. Still good, although I did enjoy the TV show over it. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.

Sanrith Descartes Sanrith Descartes I watched this last night based on your recommendation and I actually think you rated it too low. This was excellent! I actually clapped out loud when the credits rolled. Everyone should check it out. I didn't even know Kiefer could act that well but he acted his ass off.

He does a good job channeling Bogart. If you haven't seen the original (the Caine Mutiny) it's stellar.

After my comment in Politics yesterday, had to go back and watch 6 Days. The 6.2 makes it sound like a bad movie, which it isn’t at all. 6.5 comes across as more “average.” For a hostage film it isn’t complicated. Not any twists and turns or surprises really. Seems like it would be very close to the reality of how things actually occurred although I haven’t done any research to compare RL events. Honestly I just wanted MP5 porn.

Good, quick, to the point. No fuss.

Peter Five Eight.

Kevin Spacey. Rebecca De Mornay. I don't know what it is supposed to be. Ultra microbudget. Script from Mrs Vaughn's 2nd grade writing class. No directing. Acting is really something else. I haven't seen acting this bad in a long time.

It is worth watching for the naked cringe factor.

I actually downloaded this because I like special forces stuff, plus it's a real mission that I only knew the basics of

6/10 is a fair rating, not great, not terrible

I saw this quote on FB a few days ago but didn't know if it was real.

The 4k version of Aliens just looks way too smooth and artificial. I'd rather watch an older version like the 1080p. Same for Terminator 2

Watched another oldie but goodie. It definitely has aged, but it's still a fun little Steve Martin comedy. 7/10.

Rewatched Brain Candy. Seriously a pretty weird, but funny movie. Solid 7.5/10. Kids in the Hall was a very under appreciated group imo.
