What the ever loving fuck!?! Is that really Garth Brooks. One of my trivia buddies and I used to joke about Chris Gaines and make stupid references to his stint into metal or whatever the hell you wanted to call it.
I mean I guess he made his transformation at some point, and even though he might still be a man it's still pretty fucking gay.
It really sucks because classic Brooks is good country music. I even saw him at the Houston Rodeo Show many many moons ago. I also got to see Billy Ray Cyrus on my birthday, and it really pissed me off.

His early stuff was great, and I'm not particularly a country music fan, but I need time I would ever hear it at least I would appreciate it because it was good music.
My parents used to listen to him back in the '90s if they weren't listening the classic rock, and my younger sister used to have probably all of his albums.
Just for the message that he is always espoused, that's pretty goddamn fucked up. But then again he tried to do his Chris Gaines BS, and we all know how well that went for him.

You said NPR only gets 1% of its funding from the government, and the point you were trying to make by saying that is that Trump and anyone to the right of you is stupid because its a minimal issue and not worth doing anything about.
This is a material lie, the 1% which is actually 25% if you're 'splitting hairs' but really its 100% because NPR is paid for by the government, and a lie of intention because you're intentionally trying to mislead people away from that fact.
This makes you a liar, a fraud, and piece of shit. And I'm not having verified lying pieces of shit spreading propaganda in pol anymore when I find them.

NPR has major corporate sponsors, plus donors. They're not even remotely 100% government funded, or even 25% government funded. Their content production is >98% funded by donors and sponsors. The transmission costs are funded in some rural places through the federal government who funds the stations that broadcast.

Looking at my local public radio, about 8.8% of revenue came directly from government grants. To lazy to read their publically posted audits to figure what portion of the rest of revenue came circuitously from government grants, but I assume that's not terribly large. That number is neither 1% nor 25%. I expect texas is a government funding lean state, while states like nyc that fraction is probably bigger.

This is why I like to look the numbers up whenever someone questions me. Mist would probably best be served by looking up the tax forms of his local public broadcasting channels and then posting them here. If the 1% is substantiated, prove it. If not, just be like whoopsy my bad, I was going heavy on the red wine and bubble baths while posting.

That's the exact opposite of how it works. The majority of funding that goes to local stations goes to rural stations. The big tentpole stations like WNYC have plenty of their own funding, because they also produce the shows and get paid for the advertisements. NPR is basically a podcasting business when it comes to content, but the government still helps fund local rural stations indirectly through the corporation for public broadcasting.
FYI almost everything the government does works like this. Most red counties receive way more transfer payments from the government than they contribute in terms of taxes.

Why are you pretending to speak with authority about this? Do you handle public broadcasting funding? Have you researched your view to see if its true?
Financial Information: Funding by State Interesting break down of CPB by state and how much each place gets. Go to the parent page and it has their strategic plan for using the 500m they get each year, which I'm sure breaks down the reasoning for each area and what they get. A quick glance over the numbers points to the reason each area gets money probably isn't them baddy republics always just steal government money.

CPB isn't just NPR, it's also PBS. PBS receives significantly more direct and indirect federal funding than NPR. TV production is also more expensive.
