The 3D polygons were amazing for its time. Very similar to the arcade cabinet version.I feel sorry for you lol...game was horrible.
How old were you exactly? It was pitiful compared to the arcade and Star Fox, released a year prior, was more impressive. Maybe you were thinking of the 32X Virtua Racing Deluxe? But that was released after The Need for Speed on 3DO so it had a hard time amazing anyone (even the 7 people who actually bought a 32X - only 13 less than those who bought a 3DO, but still...). And I am only talking about 3D on home consoles here, because in 1993, three months before the release of Virtua Racing on Genesis, Ridge Racer hit the arcade and its textured polygons immediately sent it a full generation ahead of Sega's title (Sega catching up soon after with Daytona USA).The 3D polygons were amazing for its time.
