But I'm familiar enough to know the personalities that hang around that corner of the board. Wanted to address the following here since it relates to the question of pol thread content control

Far as I can tell there is fuck all to be done here. It's safe to say Lightning Lord didn't mean "refuse to engage in discussions" as in "you are compelled to respond for every link and tweet you submit" or whatever the case. It is unnecessary to do something about users that only tweet and shit. That ought to be fine. More precisely I think of it as "choosing not to engage while displaying antagonistic behavior". There's the rub. Don't go to a thread to break up the circle jerk, solely to stir up shit nagging the whole time. Effectively antagonizing as you did in the gun thread. You went to troll, pick a fight, lambast, however you see it. Your excuses are irrelevant. We all like to debate, that is part and parcel of any topic. Keep repeating yourself though and people while shit all over you and yes, if you don't cool down you will be dealt with. It is up to you.
An evenhanded approach is required at times. It is true that majority opinion users are also guilty of bait posts, spamming and whatnot. Everybody does it, so fucking what. Look at brando still suffering from a chronic congestion of sand in his vagina. Regarding spam, get rid of that shit. There is no problem with the speed at which the thread moves. None at all.
As for Tolan, Scream, Lend et al.
Agreed. Scream is a fuckwad with a healthy sense of of humor, Lend is alright too, Xeq at least is genuine, Tolan is utterly oblivious. He is likely legitimately retarded but one answer is simpler than the ignore feature.
