Ya know, I have a tradition that started when my wife and I were like 18 or 19 and we did our first thanksgiving together, just the two of us. This older fella we knew at the time named Micky called me out of the blue on Thanksgiving that year and was like "I'm all alone, I have no family, I don't want to go to the Hope Center to eat Thanksgiving with the homeless people. I've called everyone I know. Are you doing anything for Thanksgiving this year?"
And that motherfucker walked 4 hours across town to our house, ate Thanksgiving dinner with us, hung out, we played some Resident Evil 2 and smoked some pot, he thanked us, walked out that door, and I never saw him again. I try to give someone who doesn't have family or a place to eat on Thanksgiving a meal every year. I really do, and if you were in Kentucky, you'd be invited based solely on this post.
I hope you have a great holiday my friend. I truly do.

Like fluffy light biscuits. Y'all know how to get them good southern biscuits? Ill tell you the secret: White Lily brand flour. Hard to get too far north of Ohio. Produced from wheat grown in the south, it has less gluten, which causes the material to bind less tightly, hence the lighter texture.

I got a lot of stuff I'd like to post in the grown up forum heh. One can't really wait so maybe I'll ask it here.
Looking to move. Currently in Florida. Been here my whole life but I need some change. I have the financial capacity to pick up and move to just about anywhere but it needs to be a city with a decent tech scene in hopes of a job and ideally in the U.S.
The more I've learned the less attractive San Fran seems and I don't want to blow my money living there. Friend just moved to LA to work for a sweet tech startup but I've heard it's hard to make true friends there since everyone is kinda faking it or work there way in (

I dunno. It's like on one hand I'm not sure moving will solve any problems. It would just be nice to start over, meet new people.
Was in a decent size city but lease was up and unemployed due to quitting my last job to take care of a family member who had Parkinson's and cancer. He passed away and it's been a struggle to jump back into industry after taking a year off. No one gives a fuck why you took a work break (not saying they should). It's just reality is all and it doesn't look good.
Now I'm living on the beach in a 3/3 condo in a small Beach town and fuck it sucks. Small town sounds endearing at first but fuck there is nothing here at all. Hence why I spend too much time shitposting here heh.
Prob regret posting this here and not adult forum. The pain of watching someone die to cancer/Parkinson's fucking sucks.

there are actually quite a few tech jobs in North Virginia. Got an offer from a company in Richmond earlier this year. Pay was great but Richmond seemed terrible and nothing felt right about the job.
