Who's going to get a ticket and who's going to get a warning?

You have no point. In this case and using your idiotic simile, the cop just made up a rule on the spot and applied the punishment arbitrarily.

TBT-TheBigToe TBT-TheBigToe

I get where you're coming from but no my dude. NO ONE should have been shawed, you included. Mad respect though for actually looking at this criticslly.

Cad Cad

You must be just the WORST litigator. Be honest, the real lawyers have you spellchecking briefs for most of your day dont they?

I disrupted that thread no more than it has EVER been disrupted. Does Zappata twitter spam, fansskin one-liners and all the other idiocy count as "disruption".

Its only disruption when you dislike what the opposition is saying. Hence, I was punished for WrongThink.

I realize more and more each day why I pay my editors so much when I look at my posts without the ability to spellcheck. Fucking hell I hate phone posting.

I have no point except living in reality. This is reality. Life isn't fair friend. This is where 1st amendment auditors go off the rails... they *think* shit is fair and they become the victim of their own doing. You play ball or you wind up homeless and crazy.

Furthermore, I'm not letting your faulty logic slide.

The cop made up no rule. Both person A and B are guilty of the same crime. Speeding is a crime. They're already breaking the "rule"; the cop is just enforcing it (i.e. writing a ticket to go into the system/before a judge). Same with the mods. You're person A who acted like a cunt and I told you to chill because you were acting like a cunt and you didn't listen. You got the raw deal out of the situation. Mods are just human beings. Cops are just human beings.

I'm sorry Scream... your logic is not computing with me. Please explain what rule the cop made up on the spot so I can follow what you're saying better. If you disagree completely that ON AVERAGE the person with a cooperative attitude will get a verbal warning and let go versus the stick-up-their-ass citizen given all other factors being the same, then you don't live in reality. Cop letting someone go based on good, cooperative behavior isn't making up a rule on the spot... it's them ignoring the rule (not speeding) already in place.

Oh, nm... I feel I get you... no need to explain.

You're making it analogous to your ban; that there was no rule SET IN STONE that disobeying LLR lead to your ban.

I agree with you; that's why I somewhat defended your stance post ban.

You're conflating what I said with your situation. I was talking to Cad in my post, not you and I wasn't intentionally drawing parallels to your ban to my reply to him.

You realize there was no crime right? Like you get that your premise out of the gate is just wrong right?

I get that you were banned because LLR said to stop and TOLD you what would happen if you didn't. In YOUR situation, there was no crime... that's why I defended your PoV.

In MY situation with the cops, there was a crime. To repeat: what I was telling Cad was NOT trying to draw a parallel to your situation... it was making a counterpoint to his point... it had nothing to do with you. You are conflating my post with your situation.

This is the 2nd time I'm saying I agree with you... no need to beat a dead horse here.

Except you're still FAR off base. You're trying to do the "This crime and THIS situation are different from THAT crime and that situation and im telling you there was no crime at all to begin with so then whole thing is moot...

It's what I struggle with when Lithose is unable to just read words.

There was no crime. I had the cops called on me for calling a dude a douche, cops showed up, I called them douches and the other guy a double douche and got booked.

Remember, guy was a douche to begin with. Take your bootlicking elsewhere.

I love LA for the gestalt. It's nothing like the liberal hellscape people claim it is (I actually live in a pretty conservative area) but you DO have a ton of wacky shit happening.

It is very hard to make good friends easily. You can very easily make have 500 fair-weather friends in the first few days, but actually getting people to really connect with can be tough. But I ran into that in Chicago and NY as well. People here are flakey and you get a lot of "Let's Hang!" followed by ghosting.
Thanks scream. Yeah that's kinda what I expected of LA. It makes sense that it would be just as difficult in other big cities like nyc, and chitown. For right now that's probably something I'm trying to avoid.

What's everyone's general opinion on ham vs turkey for Thanksgiving/Christmas?

I do turkey for thanksgiving, ham for christmas usually

If the Thanksgiving meal was big enough, like if you're going to have 8 or 10 or more people there, I'd probably do both ham and turkey

Fair enough. I'm pretty damn picky on ham. But man I could get fat as hell eating leftover ham sammies after the holiday. Wheres the love for beef roasts hodj?
