I strongly recommend Party Down to anyone that hasn't watched it. It's just two seasons, let yourself go at least one episode past the pilot (which is funny but definitely the least funny episode). Wonderful premise, great cast, great writing. I always considered Arrested Development my favorite comedy but with how often I go back to Party Down it might have just taken that top spot. It's not quite at the same level of jam it down your throat clever like AD, but I definitely consider it clever comedy much like Silicon Valley.

Was listening to the Comedy Bang Bang podcast at work today. Episode with the guys from Silicon Valley was gold. Thomas Middleditch as Joey Tortellini was cracking me up so hard. Had no idea he could carry those other guys so completely.

They get plenty of breaks. They keep finding funding at the last minute. Fuck, just this episode Big Head just randomly got a phone with Nucleus on it and gave it to them. Which, granted, real leaked phonesdoshow up on tech blogs all the time so it's not crazy. But this running narrative you guys have that theyonlyever get shit on is just not true. Not to mention that when they do get shit on that's where the best humor comes from. Are we forgetting that Erlich slapping as kid and then the best dick joke of all time are both direct results of them responding to a huge pile of shit right on them?

It's not so much that they constantly get shit on, as it is the whole one step forward, three steps back thing. Jared talking about amyl nitrate was good. Reading his bio on the piedpiper sight, he seems to have a dark past.

Jarad is fucking awesome, I like how he quoted hitler, was the only person that knew the drug dilates the anus, always knows creepy shit. Wonder when they are going to go into his backround or do you think they are just going to keep it a gag?

On The Office there was a running joke bout the Scranton Strangler, a serial killer. There were a lot of fan theories about it being Zach Woods character, Gabe.
