Hasn't this been in development since 2011/2012? That's a damn long time on a game and its just increasing every year.

Hehe. The amount they have collected and future collections, not sure you could even back out now. No clue the ramifications of something like that. Especially when you have cult members putting $10k+ into pixels for your future game. I'd be afraid one of them would go pyscho and try to murder me if I cancelled the game after that.

I'd donate to these things if I could gain a % of profit/stock if the projects go through(scaled based on investment with a min. amount). I'll worry about buying the product/pixels when its about to imminently release and I have a 100% chance of getting the things I paid for.

You could literally know more just by going to the wikipedia page for them and looking at it. Any new AAA IP is 5+ years development time minimum with a vet studio/team unless you are making LEGO batman or some shit.

I can't really expect anything else from variise. He's admitted to buying $10k+ worth of pixels from these guys. He's buried in the kool-aid by choice. All you are going to get from him is rabid fanatical defense of anything even remotely perceived as negative.

Make a simple statement about development time and look at his response. Answers all the questions.

I have an opinion but it's an informed opinion that's the ONLY thing separating me from most of you. I'm not an expert and have said as much numerous times when challenged. It's not that some of you don't have knowledge on certain subjects, hell far more than me, but on the things I address that is generally not the case. In too many instances utter bullshit materialized from thin air is passed off as facts. Others that don't know better read it and will take it as gospel because nobody challenges it.

You have every right to an opinion and I would fight for that if called but you do not have a right to your own facts.

Way way back when I first started commenting some of you asked for this and claimed nobody would fucking step up. I did long before anyone else chimed in and then you all pissed, moaned and generally behaved like fucking 10 year olds that had their toy barbies taken away because I refused to fucking cave to utter bullshit and non-stop trolling and asshattery.

If someone here has a problem it's the fucking vocal bunch of you that don't talk about the game because you don't know anything about it, that's clear as day, but instead talk vaguely about the things other people talk about. Problem is all of them are clueless so you are all reinforcing each other's ignorance. Haven't seen much original thought in this entire fucking thread. I would love to address some of them since there was one or two a while back but it's like hen's teeth.

You had someone available that ate/slept SC for a couple of years, I don't anymore, and instead of picking my brain you and the rest of the vocal bunch pissed and moaned it away. You never had any interest in gaining knowledge so don't pretend to me you ever did.

The game wasn't changed from a platfrom to a MOBA. It was changed from a single player space sim with partial multiplayer functionality to one single player space sim plus a space sim MMO. Completely changed means that they couldn't use the old material when they expanded teh scope of the project; that is if you want your argument to have any significance.

So you able to articulate what features you think aren't going to make it in? The star systems? Farming and mining? Cause here is the thing: most of the features that he advertised/promised with all those stretch goals like the ships, FPS, dogfighting, EVA, persistence, seamless world, etc are already in and testable.

You able to articulate an argument that they are going to run out of money? OR are we just going to see more crying because he decided to merge the engines when its already been done?
