Made worse by the stormtrooper who rarely missed once he stopped being a stormtrooper.
It wasn't lost on me watching 7 that the only white people you see is on the empire and the black minorities were "slave" stormtroopers pretty much.
Also the Nazi like gathering before the invasion with a white man speaking literally like Hitler.
I guess lots of people overlook that but given the liberal racism crap this year and only watching it for the 2nd time the other night, I couldn't help but notice.
At least they haven't gone full Ghostbuster. Yet.

The parallels between Nazi Germany and the Empire have always been there, but my worry now is that they are going to forget one of the basic principles of movies. Show me, don't tell me.
I just worry that they are going to move from showing me in all the various subtle ways how bad the empire is, to someone preaching at me like I am an idiot and they have to make sure I get it. Maybe I'm just old and grumpy, but I feel like a subtle message hidden in subtext is beyond most movies anymore. They just beat you about the head and shoulders with it cause they think everyone is too stupid to notice it otherwise.
