Contrary to what you see on TV, defibrillation is useless when the subject is already in asystole. Shocking briefly induces asystole to interrupt a dangerous arrhythmia and the sinus node (hopefully) sets the heart back into a normal rhythm. I guarantee that airplane had an AED, the attendant placed it on Fisher, and the AED said that no shock was indicated. In which case all you can do is continue CPR and hope that her heart starts beating again, which it apparently did.

Cpr even done right is like a 4%success rate. Just went thru my recert. Yes idea to buy some time off not get them restarted. But d done right you break ribs and usually a good reason they were in arrest in the first place.
Also what twilight said about aed is only for certain types of heart condition.

Phantom fucked up with Jar Jar etc. but its main unforgivable transgression was the Midi-chlrolians.
Revenge has the best scene of all three
but massively fucked up with how Vader turned to the dark side.
Because of that, Clones is the least egregious prequel.

TFA was only better than the prequels. thats not saying much. the best part was han solo and they fucking killed him. i tried watching it a second time on cable and it was boring as fuck. bunch of boring kids with no purpose. at least ANH you rescued a princess from a death star and destroyed it at the end. TFA was "catch that droid!" and destroy a stupid death planet which the stupid ex stormtrooper knew its achilles heel to. fuckers werent even trained to shoot straight, but he knows how to destroy the ultimate weapon of the universe? FUCK YOU!

When you ignore the flaws of the originals while putting them up on an unassailable pedestal, what else is there that can be said?
I overlook many of the flaws of the originals myself. But I give the newer ones some of that same benefit and so I'm able to enjoy them for what they are.

Clone Wars, the final full season in particular, laid so much more groundwork for Anakin's fall to the dark side, but the movie fucked it up so badly that nothing could salvage it. I just wanna save Padme, that's why I'm brutally murdering all these defenseless children and aiding a campaign of genocide!!!

All they really had to do was have Padme's death be what ultimately turned him. Not only would that have made more sense, we wouldn't have had to hear about how Anakin was breaking her heart.

i do overlook them, the nostalgia factor is strong with this one. i was 6 when i saw the original in the theater and it was an awesome experience. it was my first movie theater movie. first time i had ever seen anything like that as a kid, giant ass screen sound made you feel like you were in the movie. years later my dad and i were discussing star wars and he revealed to me that he never really got the first movie, he pointed out how corny it was and how much it ripped off flash gordon and buck rogers which we also watched together on sunday mornings on PBS back then. i acknowledged all that, but i give it a pass because darth vader was cool and all the special effects were so well done. this was 1977. 40 years later those practical effects still rival the CGI they produce on some nerd's pc.
