who do you guys think would win in a duel Mace Dindu or Yoda?
Against little Wakandan Yoda? Mace Windu would have lost.

Mace Dindu on the other hand would've got the Jedi Council announcing victory based on Purple Force-sensitive oppression.

He would have won the fight without having to do shit.

When you ignore the flaws of the originals while putting them up on an unassailable pedestal, what else is there that can be said?

I overlook many of the flaws of the originals myself. But I give the newer ones some of that same benefit and so I'm able to enjoy them for what they are.
The flaws people say about TFA are identical as the 1st movie

And if Leia doesnt die in the next movie, they have to kill her off screen.
Don't believe Carrie Fisher will reprise her role for a 3rd time.

One of the storyline rumors for Ep 8 from a while back was that Leia was going to be severely injured in an attack during Han's funeral or some other sort of ceremony. If that ends up being true then they have a basis for her stepping down as the leader of the Resistance.

Leia technically isn't a Disney Princess so she could pump out a couple of kids (illegitimate even) and not violate the rules.

Pretty sure incest babies between leia and luke violate all kinds of rules.

The biggest flaw about TFA was that it was identical to the first movie, which would be why it has the same flaws as the first movie.

Are you talking about a specific character other than Chopper? Because he was in a scene.

Bail mentioned getting in contact with a female jedi.

Nah he didn't. The "her" he was talking about was Leia. The "jedi friend" was Ben.

AT isn't a jedi anymore.

ah. going back through the thread everyone else seem to heard it direct as well. I guess I heard it wrong. I could have sworn that was the idea. make it sound like they were talking about Ben, but then have him call the jedi "her" at the end. also, checked in with rebels, which I was out of date with, and seems she dead.

Ahsoka's not dead, she was last seen limping back into the sith temple after her confrontation with Vader. Though everyone including Vader thinks she is dead and the writers specifically haven't touched on her since.

just to add more to it.
A thread debating exactly what was said, and who was being referred to.
Who was the mentioned jedi in the Rogue One movie?

Direct quote:
Mon: Despite what the others say, war is inevitable
Bail: Yes I agree, I must return to Alderaan to inform my people that there will be no peace. We will need every advantage
Mon: Your friend, the Jedi
Bail: He served me well during the clone wars, he has lived in hiding since the Emperor's purge, yes, I will send for him.
Mon: You're gonna need someone you can trust
Bail: I would trust her with my life.

The run on, with no separation for the pronouns. easy to see the confusion on being two people being talked about, on first viewing. but at the same time, more clear he, he, he, and she.

novel has way more lines and is more blatantly obvious.
"The Alexander Freed novelization confirms that it was Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It took Mon a moment to comprehend. Then she glanced to the closest other councilors and lowered her voice. “Your friend,” she said. “The Jedi.”

Bail nodded again. “He served me well during the Clone Wars and has lived in hiding since the Emperor’s purge.” He appeared to wait for Mon’s verdict, but she had nothing to offer. At last he finished, “Yes, I will send for him.”

(Chapter 14)

Based on what transpired in A New Hope, this was undoubtedly a reference to Obi-Wan

The "trust" thing was about Leia being sent:

A Jedi, returning to fight against the Empire. It seemed an impossible thought, so Mon focused on what was not. “Captain Antilles’s ship is docked with the Profundity for repairs, but it’s nearly ready to go. The extraction should be simple; if it’s not, his skills will be an asset.”
“My assessment as well,” Bail said.
“Whoever makes contact with the Jedi will have a terrible responsibility.” Mon knew who Bail had in mind—it was clear in the tired lines of his face; in the fear of a man who had never previously feared the Emperor’s blackest vengeance. She was reluctant to doubt his decisions, but she needed to be certain. “You’ll need someone you can trust.”
“I would trust her with my life,” he said.
"

With this being Obi-wan, it is almost dumb this was even included. its redundant with the Leia scene at the end.
