Her theme is prolly my least favorite in the whole soundtrack. It's better when they mix it into the stronger stuff but by itself it just kinda sounds like a gay little fairy background music in a JRPG.
thats probably because your taste in music sucks.

I don't know how you could miss them they do a vertical wipe pretty early in the movie..

Just proves that JJ is a good storyteller if he can make you forget stuff like that exists, and yet still incorporate it into the movie.

The camera is focused right on his face sitting in the x-wing at the start of that raid. There was never any doubt it was Poe
Oh I know, just remembered some posts earlier about that
scene. Not sure why auto correct changed that to Pope, obviously it was supposed to be Poe. (that time it tried poetry)

I think Luke is going to go out on his own terms. Being so powerful in the force he will simply become a force ghost exactly when he wants to go and feels he has done what he needs to do.

But if he was gonna do that he would've done it already.

If he's still around it must be because he feels a lingering sense of duty to something or someone. Kinda like how Obiwan eventually surrendered his mortal form when he realized that he'd set Luke on his journey and his duty was complete.

So it goes back to either mentoring Rey or saving Kylo.

I mean Luke kind of has a lot to answer for. He restarts the Jedi, loses them all to one pupil and then abandons the galaxy to think about it while his ex-student goes around murdering people and eventually having a direct hand in destroying the seat of the New Republic.

My guess is he's not been as idle as the last scene is meant to convey. It could be wishy-washy searching the force for answers bullshit, but at the least I think he's going to do more than Obi-Wan "hey so I got some old shit for you to have and a kid's game to try" Kenobi.

I don't see it being quite like Obi Wan. Obi took a saber because he knew if he didn't Luke was going to come help him and that was going to be it. That seemed more of situation of circumstance he recognized.

I see Luke ending it more on his own terms. Saves the day. Says something about being too powerful to remain as is. Body shimmers and he joins the others willingly and completely of his own free will.

Saw it today and it's a good movie and is well worth seeing in the theater but it's not the best Sci-Fi movie of the year by a longshot.

WTF does Rey have an english accent? Was she too lazy to get rid of it for this movie?

Makes her sound smarter and out of place. Cause she's smart. And out of place.

Are we sure Ben actualy took that saber to the gut? I always thought it was odd that he never left a body, the other force ghosts did when they "died." i always felt like he just poofed himself at the exact right time.

There are a whole bunch of complaints you make that could be applied to the OT. A little consistency would be great from you clowns
Yeah, shouldn't expect more from movies made three decades later with an unlimited budget and attempting top cater to ultra critical fans.

Yep.

Yoda vanished too. The only ghost that left a body was Anakin.

British accents in these movies means Empire. So maybe her mother was Empire? ;P

Isn't that pretty common knowledge tho, Anakin turned and became Vader. Maybe there was some revisionist History written 25 years later, but I doubt it.
Yeah saying they know Vader's "secret" is a stupid way to word it. Snoke and Kylo Ren were basically talking dark side philosophy as to why everything Palpatine had built ultimately failed; because Vader wanted to try and turn Luke rather than just kill him.

Is Luke really all that powerful in the canon universe? I know that he's supposed to be messianic in post-movie fiction, but is that eradicated with the new movies?

I've seen no less than 10 people copy that "pacing" argument here. What the fuck are you people talking about? The pacing is great.
