I enjoy watching people shit themselves with terror from their certainty that any day now, Obama's UN squads are going to bust down their doors and take all their guns away.

Even when absolutely nothing gun control related managed to pass after 25 6 year old kids were shot to death people STILL think the great Hitler is going to set the constitution on fire, dissolve Congress, and send troops door to door to disarm us.

The President was only even asked for his comments because it wasalreadyviewed widely as a racial issue. Furthermore, go and watch the video again. The majority of his comments were focused on expressing empathy for the parents, and he was quite careful. He says nothing controversial whatsoever.

He basically expresses empathy for the parents and calls for an examination. OH NO OBAMA PERSONALLY INJECTED RACE INTO THE SITUATION!1! Surely the NAACP would've ignored this situation entirely had not Obama played his race card!

Many people genuinely believe racism is still a lingering problem in this country. Many of them mistakenly chose this particular situation to serve as an example and vehicle for talking about this problem. This is primarily due to some really, really dogshit reporting by the media.

While I agree that Bush supporters' fears are a little ridiculous, Obama is the worst president of the last 30 years. PRISM, Patriot Act, fiscal irresponsibility, warmongering (Nobel Peace Prize huh).

Yes, Obama was the president when PRISM started and the Patriot Act was passed. He also started two wars with no plans to fund them. If you're going to blame the man for doing a poor job, at least do it correctly and there is plenty of shitty shit he has done.

Isn't it intriguing that the quantity and amount of time "news" is available to people via the Internet and TV that Presidents have continued to get "worse" similarly in scale to.

Ever think it might just be perception because of being inundated with minutiae rather than fact that previous ones weren't as bad - that in fact it was just that they were less covered?

Case in point look at how similar a certain embassy issue is to other embassy attacks during almost every Presidency in modern memory yet how different the coverage has become. Reagan's was far worse yet it was barely a blip on the RADAR because the media just ran with it a little - and most of the others were just sidenotes.

Because cutting taxes and then giving everyone a stimulus check and bailing out corporations and expanding medicaid and starting a 6 trillion dollar war (and counting) were just so fiscally responsible.
