Reeve Superman was so awesome because Reeves Superman (TV) was so awesome. Reeves Superman was so awesome because Fleischer Superman was so awesome. That was so awesome because the original comics were new and awesome. Routh Superman was ok, Cavill Superman was ok, I predict derpface Superman will be just ok too. We have been so far removed from the original material that the magic and patriotic wholesomeness of truth justice and the American way has lost all meaning and now it's used in a tongue in cheek manner, if at all. The villains are in charge now and men are no longer portrayed as moral or stoic, we get weepy pussies sitting down with their weepy pussy dad or cradling people that he saves. Things are no longer as they once were. Not in a good way.

It's more than just words. Superman was living a way of life that promoted Truth, Justice and the American way. That's why he was always mocked for being a goody two shoes boy scout type. It was perceived as corny, but that's who he was and why he was so awesome.

Meh. I have watched this trailer a couple times now. I’m cautiously optimistic. Gunn and the two guys who did all the last captain America and avengers movies are the only ones that didn’t flat out shit the bed in the MCU. He did a pretty good job of weaving in and out an absolute fuckton of marvel extended characters without bloating the movies in GotG.

Plus, Jimmy Olsen isn’t black and Lex Luthor is at least played by an actor capable of some physicality instead of being an ADHD dweeb or conman.
