Oh you poor bastard. Space Mutiny is a contender for best episode. I got to it years after it had died on Sci Fi. I barely ever watched any of the show when it was still airing on television. During the Joel years the stoner Midwest thing it had going with the bad prop comedy didn't interest me at all.
There are some S+ tier Joel shorts though.

I knew of it when i was younger, but we never had cable - my brother had a friend in HS that bought one of the first season count down tunnel doors and was building his own Tom servo, my brother had some random gumball machine in his room for years that he gave to him as it was the one he needed. He also ran a BBS with Legend of the Red Dragon that i blame for my MMORPG addiction- but i got kicked off it by my parents when he made ascii porn his BBS welcome page and my parents saw it when i connected lulz
My other fav mst3k was the delta knights? I liked most of the fantasy ones… he one where they were like “he threw hot peas at him” or beans or something lol

My entire extended family still quotes the hell out of Space Mutiny. It’s a timeless treasure, for sure. And it even has good ol’ Cameron Mitchell for the cherry on top.

I'm indefensibly tolerant of most Star Wars. I can generally pick up on some enjoyable aspect of these dumb shows/movies and ride out the bad (there's been a lot of riding). But this show....is just terrible in nearly all aspects. It's the first live action Star Wars show since the Holiday Special that I started and have no desire to continue. Congratulations to the writers and producers for breaking this 40+ year precedent.

This is the first Star Wars show I've had no desire to even start. There was a lot that led to that, though...if the Obi-Wan show didn't exist and Boba Fett was better, maybe I'd have given this a chance. And maybe I'll torture myself when I subscribe to Disney+ for something else again eventually, but it's taken a lot of mediocre/bad shows to get me to the point where I'm not even the least bit excited for a new Star Wars (or Marvel) show.

In the meantime, I don't pay for Disney, and get a lot of mileage out of this show from the Youtubers dunking on it. Critical Drinker is spot on as always.

Feel like this should would have (incrementally) been a little better off if they released 1-2 and then released 3-4. We'd be more focused on that ending of ep. 4 rather than the coven stuff. Not much, but a little.
So... should I recognize that guy at the end at all if I'd watched more of the animated stuff or some other content or anything? Figure we were heading towards something like that with all the 'red shirt' jedis they brought with them. Will have to dig around at some of the reaction stuff I guess.
Biggest issue narratively with this... wouldn't they have all 'felt it' when the wookie was killed? Pretty clear the guy she brought with her is her master too, just for whatever reason taking that assistant guise. Seems dumb, but kinda obvious. Going to be him or one of her moms I'd guess.

The coven episode sucked donkey balls and completely useless. They could have covered all that with a 2 minute dream/nightmare sequence.
The other glaring issue I have with the show is how differently they treated May? than Anakin. The council was arguing not to train him because of the guilt he felt leaving his mother. Not a snowballs chance in hell would they have taken May after just losing her entire family to train her as a Jedi.
The sith guy showing up at the end of episode 4 was definitely the highlight of the series, and I hope he kills all of them.

its likely going to be the mom with the thornface, she was the one all up on her Sith and she was most aggressive toward the Jedi. it would make sense in a normal series that she would want all of them dead for taking her daughters away. of course this is a shitshow and there is no way any of this makes sense.

the force bubble jedi master that committed suicide. he was a padawan? or knight possibly at the lesbian coven event. somehow he attained the rank of Master jedi, and super force shield powers, all while having suicidal regret over whatever happened at the lesbian witch coven.
maybe he would have gained that level of force powers.. ok. power level doesn't seem to be tied to emotional balance. although its one of those things. jedi powers like healing/force fields are? while sith powers like lightning are tied to emotional release?
but he would not have been promoted to Master if he clearly had that level of emotional regret for sure.
this is just one of many examples of this show having an idea and forcing to world to fit the idea. no regard to the rules of the world itself. "why did x happen? because we needed y to happen."
