My assumption is that publishers want Sony to go on because they get a slice of the subscription cake and it's obviously a good investment to keep publishers happy. Also a good investment to keep users happy and to help them get over the fact that they now need to pay for something that used to be free.I may have missed this somewhere, but do we know for certain that the PS+ service is going to keep offering free games each month on the PS4? Sony pretty much had to do that on the PS3 to give people a reason to subscribe and pay for PS+, but now that it is going to be required for multiplayer, what is their incentive to give access to free games? The multiplayer factor alone will probably be why the vast majority of people subscribe to it.
In the end, its just more money in their pockets. Pay them money for an adapter to use other devices.Today, Microsoft has provided us with more detail about why existing headsets are currently incompatible. There's also hope that existing devices may end up working after all (with help).
"The Wireless Controller has been redesigned to allow for higher data transfer speed between the controller and the console," a Microsoft representative told us. "This also required creating a new expansion port design for headsets and future controller add-on devices which is different from a standard audio plug input. Xbox plans to develop solutions in the near future to allow consumers to connect many brands of wired gaming headsets to the Wireless Controller for gaming and chat audio.?
I guess this is good tho.At today's Microsoft Build conference in San Francisco, the company announced a new collaboration with Unity Technologies. The partnership will bring Unity development tools to developers working on titles published by Microsoft for free.
Unity is in the process of creating new tools to handle multiplayer matchmaking, SmartGlass applications, and Kinect gestures and voice recognition. The bigger news is that now developers can use familiar Unity toolsets to create their own titles for distribution.
Yes, it's been stated they'll be giving at least one free PS4 title a month with PS+. Currently for the title scheduled it's one AAA (Driveclub) and the rest have been Indie titles (although some really nice looking ones, don't know the list offhand would have to recheck).I may have missed this somewhere, but do we know for certain that the PS+ service is going to keep offering free games each month on the PS4? Good. Consumers benefiting from competition. At the rate Microsoft is going literally everything people bitched about will be reversed before launch.
Absolutely nothing will fix their hardware problems and it being less powerful at this point, way too late. Manufacturing has already begun. At the rate Microsoft is going literally everything people bitched about will be reversed before launch.
You're so hilariously stupid.Again, developers develop for the lowest common denominator, so it won't be an issue. PS3 exclusives might look better but Xbox owners won't care about that.
Sure, enjoy your 20 fps framerate drops on some non-exclusive titles because the settings are too high for it to handle. LCD can be "barely playable" at times.Again, developers develop for the lowest common denominator, so it won't be an issue. PS3 exclusives might look better but Xbox owners won't care about that.
Mass Effect 3, Dark Souls, and Skyrim just off the top of my head are noticeable between the versions. Even non-sidebyside.So are you saying that you can play a current gen game side by side and notice the visual improvements? You had mentioned earlier that even in this current gen there are differences among cross platform games.
