Pretty much spot on. Really just comes down to the games. Getting them both so I'm good either way. Still want more concrete details on the Xbones TV functionality with Kinect. Seems though that Cox and Comcast are rolling out more advanced boxes and services that do just about everything that XBone says it will do. That perk might be DOA.I'm basically going to stick by the advice I've given to every single person that has ever asked me "which console should I buy?"
Buy the one that has the most games you want to play.
If you love Forza and Halo, get the XB1. If you love Infamous and Killzone and SOCOM, get the PS4.
I've been telling people that ever since my days of selling Genesis vs SNES, or PS1 vs N64 vs Dreamcast, or PS2 vs Xbox vs Gamecube. Get the console with the games you want. It's great if you can afford to buy them all, but if not, get the one with games you want, nothing else matters more than that.
And Uncharted games,The Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Grand Turismo, God of War, LBP, Twisted Metal, JRPGs, Indie games, etc.If you love Forza and Halo, get the Xbone. If you love Infamous and Killzone and SOCOM, get the PS4.
"New IP" generally implies a franchise - and they're not working on PS3 titles anymore.Last of us for PS4 too?
Nah. You look more like a marketing toy. Suspiciously so.I'm number 31 for the Xbone, the Kinect being the deciding factor. I realize that makes me less of arealgamer. I can live with that.
You caught me. I get paid by Microsoft to post on rerolled.org. They actually pay one Kinect per post, so now I have two. Who wants one?Nah. You look more like a marketing toy. Suspiciously so.

Yeah, I don't expect The Last of Us to be a one-shot. Whatever Naughty Dog does on the PS4 will be probably be amazing regardless and far above anything Microsoft's first-party studios can do."New IP" generally implies a franchise - and they're not working on PS3 titles anymore.
So it's not a stretch to think so.
Totally disagree with this. I hate both, but I hate the 360 dash a bit less because of "my pins." Since I basically have one screen with every game/app I use. When I use ps3's UI, I feel like there are 50-something areas organize in no coherent fashion. It's irritating as hell and I avoid it as much as I can. I haven't used my ps3 much, but I'm selling my 360 this week so I'll be using it way more. Is there any way to make it better? I just wish these stupid UIs let us boot into our game library and just have a list of everything we have to play instead of having to navigate so much crap to find our things. I hate using the PS3 store, especially.I don't understand how people can like the 360 dashboard better than XMB on PS3. It's so much cleaner and easier on PS3.
I get your point but a lot of those aren't system-selling franchises. Not too many people are making their system purchase decision solely because of twisted metal or LBP or indie games. Both systems have a handful of AAA unique franchises that move significant systems. A random JRPG doesn't.And Uncharted games,The Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Grand Turismo, God of War, LBP, Twisted Metal, JRPGs, Indie games, etc.
