Given the fact it is on Syfy, I would be shocked if it gets more than 2-3 seasons, even if it is one of the best things they have put out in years.I couldn't resist, read the synopsis for all the books.
Going to read them. Can't take waiting years for this story.
Good stuff, the show is quality.
Well, they totally bumblefucked the "release" of the show and how they handled the first few episodes, so I'm sure that didn't help. The ratings for this show are a crime. I feel that there's either a ton of people watching this online, or there will be people in a few years going "damn that was good... why didnt they make more than two seasons??"
Now that they've shown the protomolecule, don't forget next week is finale, its 2 episodes back to back.
Yes, the way the handled the release really dropped the show from my radar. I didn't start watching it until episode 4ish when I was talking with one of my friends about random new TV shows. It is unfortunate because this is one of the more interesting series I have watched in a long time.Well, they totally bumblefucked the "release" of the show and how they handled the first few episodes, so I'm sure that didn't help.
That said, I can totally see this show becoming a "Firefly", in that it was cancelled way too soon.
I've listened to all the books so far in this series on audiobook. They are all great, but for some reason they switched the reader in book 4 and it screws shit up (especially Avasarala). They go back to the original reader for book 5 though. This series got me to start reading the first book. I'm actually listening to the audiobook and it's really good.
What the fuck, dude? Some of us haven't read the books, and you clearly know how to use the spoiler tag.Sounds a bit logical, ep 8 should be Holden & crew figuring out stuff about on the Anubis, then heading to Eros and colliding with Miller, while the last 2 are all about the fall of Eros.
It wasn't? I was sure I had put spoilers. What the fuck, dude? Some of us haven't read the books, and you clearly know how to use the spoiler tag.
Firefly is better. Would be hard to top that show. Firefly had a lot more character chemistry than this show has. That being said, this show is certainly worth watching. It has incredible effects with a good sense of realism. Characters tend to act as you would expect them to act in the situations presented. The story feels a little slow but it does move along well enough. I am curious to see how this plays out.Saw the first episode and liked it, but kinda forgot about it after. How has it been compared to say, surprise, Firefly?
