Why do I have to take out a second mortgage to get good sushi? Sarku Japan in the mall food court makes sushi fresh in front of you and it tastes just as good the most expensive, fanciest sushi I've ever had elsewhere.
You may be right since I've never been to the mall to get sushi but I have a pretty crappy food palate and even I can taste the difference from quick and cheap sushi and expensive sushi

One of my ex-gf's invited me to her parent's house for dinner one night when we first started dating. She said her mother was making her favorite, it was called "specialty" and it was amazing. It was fucking spaghetti with tomato soup and kraft singles melted over the top. I made up some bullshit excuse to not go after she told me what it was.
Could be worse.

Y'all can hate on American gelatin-cheese, but that shit is the best on a burger when it's good and melted.

This thread...

Kraft cheese is exactly like eating bubble gum, it takes 7 years for it to pass through your system.

Have you ever accidently left a peice out in the open for a couple days? It turns into the same consistency as a goddamn floppy disc.

One of my favorite sushi spots charges $10-$20 per roll. Not exactly breaking the bank.

I have been to Nobu in LA and ABC Kitchen in NYC before and both have what probably is the best yellowtail sashimi I've ever had, but it was really expensive and something I probably won't get again unless it's a company-paid meal.

Even at $10 a roll, it'll be 50 or 60 bucks for me to fill up. I consider that expensive, yes. I can go to the mall and get a tray of tuna rolls for $5 each that taste just as good.

Make your own for half the price?
Obviously that's a possibility, but this is the fast food thread, so I'm speaking in terms of eating out. The vast majority of stuff talked about in this thread could be made more cheaply at home, but sometimes you just want to eat out (or you go out to lunch with coworkers or whatever).

I fucking love eating out.

Belt sushi is about as fast food as it gets. I can get a gnarly ass Unagi Dragon Roll for about 7 bucks out here.

Store bought shit is just as pricy, and half as good.

Some of those conveyor belt joints aren't bad. Pretty damn cheap too. The one we go to occasionally for lunch charges $2 per plate which would have up to four pieces on it depending on the type.

They also have a sushi challenge which is like 5.5 pounds of sushi and it's free if you eat it in less than 30 minutes. You get a couple other things too. We had two dudes at the office try it and one guy managed to eat it all except for the last six pieces.

I ate at a sushi conveyor belt place in California a couple years ago and it was actually really good. I don't know why I was so surprised.

Speaking of cheese, I loooove macaroni and cheese. Thing is, Kraft has been fucking us over. I like the mac and cheese that has the cheese pouch in the box. Kraft has lowered the quality of the macaroni pieces, making them half the size and thickness that they once were. The cheese sauce has become very thin and runny.

The solution: Walmart brand mac and cheese. It has the normal size macaroni and the good/thick cheese sauce. So it's basically what Kraft's version was years ago.

The solution to bad Mac and Cheese is hotsauce. Always. Though if me mentioning hot sauce leads to one of those retarded faggot derails about how hardcore you need your hot sauce to be and how nothing has enough kick I will get my mod powers back just to ban motherfuckers.

Or ketchup.
