Is Erbert and Gerbert's a big enough chain that anyone has an opinion on them? Lately I've been going back and forth between Pita Pit and Jimmy John's any time I wanted a Subwayish kind of meal. I noticed an Erbert and Gerbert's kind of nearby the other day but I haven't gotten around to trying it out; just wondering if it's worth going out to pick it up instead of letting Jimmy John's deliver to my door.

Dominos is seriously like cardboard and ketchup, it's so disgusting. At least pizza hut tastes like real pizza, although it's really only marginally better. I've always preferred local mom and pop type of pizza places over the chains (although Papa Ginos is good).
You just have to know what to order at Dominoes, just there regular pizza is usually terrible but some things are really good. Brooklyn style pepperoni pizza, anything you get deep dish, the bread sticks are good and the wings around me are good for take out wings anyways, I have gone to other towns and had bad wings though.

I also really like there marinara sauce for dipping crusts in.

As a huge fan of Pizza I order 1 or 2 pizza's from every shop in town practically, I have different favorites everywhere.

Only pizza I can stand from Domino's is the Ultimate Pepperoni Feast and they fuck it up 90% of the time by not buttering the crust or not sprinkling the Oregano or whatever the fuck it is on top.

We ate at Pita Pit in Dickinson last month and it made me sick as fuck, could have been a one time thing but damn did it suck.

Go there, they are pretty pretty good, better than Jimmy John's.

While I will eat whatever pizza there is, if someone else is buying it, I just don't understand why anyone would ever buy the chain crap. There are over 30 non-chain pizza places in my zip code and I imagine it's the same in pretty much every populated area of the country. Pretty much every one that I've tried is better than a chain like Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa John's etc.

The only time Domino's is good was in college when they would do 5 for $5 each or whatever. We would get 10 medium pizzas on a Saturday for 50 bucks and proceed to get drunk and watch football for 10 hours on Saturday.

This is very true, the thing with the chains is usually they are much cheaper and for those on a budget, that's why they order from there.

Oddly enough out of the chains, I find Papa Murphy's to usually be the best.

I'm the same way. I'll eat it from anywhere if someone else is buying it. I can't bring myself to buy pizza from Dominos, Pizza Hut or Papa John's though. I think the price of most pizza places is outrageous when you consider the ingredients being used. Crazy mark up. If I want to drop $50+ on pizza for a family pizza night, party or game I just can't justify spending that on generic shit from a chain. I have a couple local stores that are not only cheaper, but significantly better.

If I just want some quick, cheap pizza I have found that I actually like the $5 Hot & Ready pizza's from Little Ceasars. $20 at LC is a lot of pizza for a quick pizza fix heh.

For me it's a matter of convenience. Living in an urban area in an otherwise suburban city, most smaller places won't deliver to my condo, make me go down to the front door, or will take a fucking hour to do it. Pizza hut is at my place in 20 minutes flat, and they never bitch about delivering to my door.

I absolutely fucking love Little Caesars bread sticks. Holy shit those things are good, they are far and above my favorite of any chains.

I ordered Domino's a couple months ago for the hell of it. It wasn't very good.

I love pizza, but I find it hard to justify ordering it anymore. Delivery pizza is just so damn pricey when Thai and Indian food are available at a much better price. Plus, you get 3-6 meals out of those places opposed to a pizza joint.

People always say that Mom & Pop pizza places are so much better than chains, but I've never been blown away by Mom & Pop pizza parlors. Good? Sure. Insanely better than a standard chain pizza? Not at all. Obviously you'll say "But McCheese, you've never had GOOD Mom & Pop pizza!" Bullshit. I've eaten pizza at authentic Italian joints in New York, sampled it at a variety of places in D.C and Baltimore, eaten it in several foreign countries, and my own town has several locally owned pizza parlors and Italian restaurants.

I really don't get it. Someone will tell me to go try such-and-such pizza place that just opened because they have the BEST PIZZA EVAR!!1. So I go and try it and it tastes almost identical to every other Mom & Pop place I've ever tried. It's a little better than a chain pizza, maybe because they use bigger pieces of sausages or the crust is cooked a little better. Not to mention I'm paying nearly 20 dollars for a large pizza with 1 or 2 toppings if I'm lucky, whereas at Pizza Hut I can get a large stuffed crust pizza with 3 toppings for 11 bucks.

To give a concrete example: my friend and his wife LOVE this one Italian restaurant near me that they swear makes the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. They live like 20 minutes away, so when I'm going to their place they often ask me to swing by and pick up a couple pizzas from this place for dinner. Two large pizzas with two toppings each usually works out to about FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS. What the fuck is that? It's not even creative or interesting pizza. It's the standard, hand-tossed, New York style that 90% of places serve. I swear to god no one would be able to tell the difference between a slice of that overpriced shit and a slice from Sbarro. For the most part, pizza is pizza.

McCheese probably thinks McDonalds burgers are as good as everywhere else too. Stop eating bad pizza.

Have pizza that looks like this

Chuck E. Cheese's used to have the most amazing pizza back in the day. I need to find a kid so I can get inside and see if it's still as delicious as I remember.

I still don't get it. That looks exactly like the pan pizza I get from Pizza Hut. What's so special about it? Maybe my local Pizza Hut is just insanely good compared to the norm, because my pizzas always look like that one in your picture. I was just perusing photos of pizza hut pizza and some of them do look pretty awful, so I guess I'm just lucky.

I'm with you on that. Crazy bread and sauce was practically a staple of my circle of friends during our teens and mid-20's. My roommate and I would get 3 bags and split them, and that would be our dinner. So fucking good. Particularly if they are slightly underdone.

Maybe I'll get some for dinner tonight.
