The employees at subway have a little more creative freedom making your sandwich than say someone making a whopper, that shit is standard. That being said I've had both good and bad servers/sammich makers at subway. The one right by my house usually has excellent service, awhile back they had this really shitty server, I left a complaint at their website and got a free sammich and I don't see that person there anymore. So if your subway sammich isn't up to your standards make a complaint. Also anyone try putting guac, that is new, on their sandwich?, that shit is delicious. Got the turkey club with guac last time, would recommend to anyone who likes guac.
My subway story if you're bored and wanna hear it. I don't think I shared the story here, but I usually get the subway club when I go to subway. There was this obviously new, young worker there whom I asked for a subway club and she started making a cold cut. I tell her sorry maam, but I asked for the subway club. "I am making a club." she says. And I tell her no, I'm pretty sure you're not since you're putting bologna on the sandwich and your sign right there says turkey, ham, roast beef. So after that little exchange I assume she can handle it from there and I don't really pay attention to her making my sandwich. Then she takes the sandwiches out of the toaster and its then that I notice....she put the meat on the sandwich as if it was fucking Neapolitan ice cream, 3 pcs turkey, 3 pcs ham, 2 pcs of roast beef laid out in a row. She dressed my wife's sandwich first and I am normally not one to say anything so the whole time I'm debating in my head am I going to take that sandwich or do I want to speak up. If I didn't have time to stew it over I probably would have just taken the sandwich, but the longer I stared at that sandwich the less appetizing it looked. So she wraps up the wife's sandwich and comes back to me and I say to her, look I'm very sorry, but that is not how you make the sandwich and it doesn't look the least bit appetizing so could I please have another sandwich. And she starts arguing with me that it is the sandwich I ordered, so I say yes maam, but you do not just lay out the meat all in a row like that. So she reluctantly agrees to make me another sandwich and I'm thinking ok, what can this new person not fuck up, alright I'll take a meatball sub. She puts the meatballs on the bread and then says is this meat laid out good enough for you? It took all of my will power to not tell her, yes, even you can't fuck that sandwich up. Pay for my shit and leave. The sandwiches were very sub-par btw when we got home, like I said one of those servers that is just very stingey with ingredients. I would have let all of that slide, but we went back a couple weeks later and it was the same young girl and she very obviously remembered me from my previous visit because she didn't say hello when we walked in, would not look us in the face, and didn't say a word to me, like "what would you like on your sandwich", just stared at my sandwich the whole time. So I complained and haven't seen her since, doubt I was her only complaint.
