Bros, I'm sorry. Truly sorry. But I'm gonna have to agree with the no citrus on meat statements. Don't get me wrong, I love acid on my meats. Sweatin it out, makin it pop. Mmmm. But citrus is very, very overpowering and I feel like my meat should always be the star, never the sidekick. And citrus makes meat the sidekick.

That Aussie burger sounds interesting. The beets seem out of place, but without that nothing about the burger is out of the ordinary. Something needs to make it "Aussie". Would try.

I fucking LOVE pineapple and I agree with this. Its something sour to go with something sweet, its not fucking savory.

Going back to the Fajita subject, I had maybe the best fajitas of my life last weekend. I typically order a combo fajita at most restaurants, either steak + chicken, or those two + shrimp as well. Well, a local place by me has a combo that is steak+chicken+shrimp+CHORIZO. Holy god, did the Chorizo make a world of difference. It was so goddamn good, i never thought some mixed in chorizo would make that much difference, but it did. Best fajitas ever.

Chorizo is great. We make some semi-healthy tacos by using 3/4 ground turkey 1/4 chorizo. The chorizo imparts a really strong flavor onto the ground turkey which is otherwise pretty plain.

I'm almost 40 years old and I still fucking LOVE peanut butter

One of my top 10 favorite lunches is just PB&J on white/wonder bread. I just don't eat it much anymore because it's absolutely horrible for you. But there isn't much better than a PB&J on super fresh wonder bread, some nacho cheese doritos, and a big glass of whole milk. Lunch of the gods.
