Anyone in Baltimore? I'll be up there weekend after next, at the convention center. Not sure what they have in that area that's worth trying out. Bonus points if I don't get shot.

I have never had good food at any Hardee's. Always over cooked patties that are so greasy the bun is wet.

There's a new thing in town - some dude started a thing with food trucks. He has four, apparently. They make tacos and shit, and I had four tacos for lunch and I almost got a woody. They were so good, and they were $1.00 per taco. Today was his second day with the trucks open, there was a line fifteen people deep when I got there.

You and McCheese should rent the popemobile and take it through the drive thru.

The only fast food I know in that area is typical chain stuff. If you want a bit of sightseeing, you could hit up the Chipotle nearby that was trashed and burned during the Freddie Gray riots.

If you want to fancy ass it up, the place I usually eat when I'm at the convention center is B & O American Brasserie. It's only a couple walkable (read: not through the ghetto) blocks away. They have decent burgers and fries.

I was in Baltimore for business once and ate at some great places that aren't appropriate for this thread. The meatloaf at Annabel Lee Tavern was probably the best I've ever had. And Blue Moon Café has excellent breakfast.

It's kind of a touristy thing, but Lexington Market is a cool place to visit. All kinds of grub for sale including giant crab cakes at Faidley's seafood.

Ah, I just remembered another good place: Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop. Really good cookies and other pastries if you're looking to get your diabetes on. I think they serve deli-style food too, but I've only ever gotten cookies and stuff. It's in Little Italy, so a bit of a hike from the convention center, but totally worth it.

Popeye's is pretty much shit tier fried chicken. I'll take KFC over them any day. Their tenders are especially bad. Last time I got them they were these floppy, skinny, limp pencil dick things. Plus, I don't feel like I belong in Popeye's. I feel like you either have to be super Southern or super black to eat at one. KFC is a much more welcoming atmosphere.

Doubt Cincinnati was very different. I even lived in hoods where my people were outnumbered!

In my defense, I just binge watched the entire series of The Wire for the first time about a week ago.

I was at the harbor last year as well, it's like a trendy tourist area. But the downside of that is that I don't want to be on the road and eat fucking Subway or Olive Garden or whatever, want to try something local or at least that they don't have where I'm from, but progress drives all that shit away.

All I know is I'm down as fuck for some italian cookies.

Depends on what you want.

If you need breakfast, there's a Miss Shirleys downtown and it's awesome. Pratt St.

Not walking distance but worth it:
Maryland Crab Cakes | Jimmy's Famous Seafood Slightly out of the city proper in the Dalk.
Mommas on the halfshell in Canton. They used to server brunch, still might.
Bunch of shit up north of downtown but not exactly fast food.

Stuff:
Lexington is good, once.
Cross St Market is good and it's in Fed Hill so there's alot to do in the surrounding hood.

Pickles Pub is across from Camden Yards. Close to the convention center. If the O's are in town it's a great time, although crowded.
Pratt St. Ale House is close.
Speaking of the O's, if they are in town, see a game. Have some Boogs. Get the new Mac n Cheese pretzel cone and tell me how it is.

Edit: Checked. Sawx are in town. Should be good crowds downtown.
