I must address this: I am not a hipster, nor have I ever cooked anything sous vide. Seems like crazy shit. Someone calls me a hipster in person, I'm likely to poop on the hood of their car.
Second, the last time I went to Chick Fil A I was asked to make a donation to a local community that "prays away the gay" of people who come out in certain religious communities. I said no, I didn't want to add $2 to my order to support that organisation, and the person behind the counter asked me why not. Aggressively. Someone else behind the counter asked if I was a faggot, and if I was, I should go elsewhere to eat because Chick Fil A doesn't want those people in their stores. Three people in the back shouted "Amen!" when that was said.
I was standing there with my wife and children, and all I had done was politely said "No, thank you," to giving money to an organisation I wouldn't ever support. I was going to just walk away from the place, not get any food, but my kids were extremely hungry, it was very late, there were not many options, and so we just got our order to go. There were pamphlets in every single bag that gave information on how successfully they could pray away the gay, and heal all homos of their sickness. One of the people in the back wrote "Please stop having sex with other men, you owe it to your kids." on one of the to-go bags in marker.
So, yeah. No more Chick Fil A for me.
