Right. If he can move at FTL speeds, his reaction time should be FTL. Even if he didn't hear it, the minute it pressed against his neck, he could have reacted to it.So after all that , Cisco takes him out? eh.
That's the dumbest shit I've ever watched. Good Lord the writing sucks.
Make sense of it to the audience. Show Cisco can disrupt the speed force with his sonic powers as a new evolution of his powers, and have someone else take the shot....
Wiki_sl said:Zoom can alter time relative to himself, as opposed to using the Speed Force like most of the DC Universe speedsters do. He can apparently use this ability to move at "speeds" rivaling those of even Wally West, and usually "faster" than the speeds that even Wally can muster in most cases. Rather than actually time traveling, Zoom is controlling the speed at which time flows around him, allowing him to go faster or slower in time than everyone around him. Since Zoom is not actually moving at superspeed (rather, he is greatly slowing down time relative to himself, and can make himself so "fast" that even most of the Flashes look to him to be moving in slow motion), the temporal nature of his speed allows him to avoid the usual problems encountered by other Flash-type speedsters (friction, seeing and hearing at such near-light speeds, et al.), whose automatic and unconscious use of the Speed Force overcomes those problems. As he is moving at a normal velocity, and the rest of the world is "slow", those hindrances simply do not affect him. This aspect also means that he is unable to become intangible like other speedsters can by vibrating their molecules at certain frequencies.
Even if his powers are not tied to the Speed Force, he has twice shown the ability to grant superspeed to other beings, granting Cheetah a speed rivaling Wonder Woman's, and restoring Inertia's speed, freeing him from his Speed Force-induced paralysis to turn him into his apprentice. This ability is related to the manipulation of the timestream, as he can allow others to tap into time through himself, and shut down this connection at will.[11]
next episode starts with "my name is Barry Allen and I'm the fastest man on wheels"Episode was awesome, I thought I hear something snap when he was punched in the back.
Vibe's sonic powers enabled him to create shock waves of considerable strength. His power could shatter concrete or steel. His agility was above average (and he was a superb breakdancer). Under Batman's tutelage, Vibe became a more skilled combatant.[citation needed]
Vibe's reintroduction in 2013 has sought to establish him as a more powerful character. Part of this was redefining his powers as having to do with interdimensional physics.Justice League of America establishes that Vibe's sonic waves have the power to disrupt the Speed Force, making him one of the few characters in the DC Universe who poses a serious threat to the Flash.[22] For this reason, he is recruited into the JLA by Steve Trevor, which exists to guard against the threat of the main Justice League going rogue.[23] In Justice League of America's Vibe #3, Amanda Waller says "Cisco Ramon might be one of the most powerful super-humans on the planet. He wields vibrational powers that could in theory shake the Earth apart. And he's the only person we know of who can find and track interdimensional breaches." [24] He is also undetectable by security cameras.[23]
We don't know what Zoom actually is in this new DC universe. It's probly an amalgam of different DC characters. He definitely looks like he has the Speed Force tho.But by your own words Zoom doesn't operate on the speed force so wouldn't this all just be a moo point?
I actually remembered him from his role as Worf's brother in Star Trek, but yeah it's the same actor.I told my wife that Zoom sounded like Candyman. I googled it and was right.
I am notorious for not reading on anything behind the scenes. I prefer to let the show unfold as intended.I thought it was common knowledge that Tony Todd was voicing Zoom?
I never thought about Joe being a possibility. That would be pretty awesome.
That would be pretty cool too...but were that the case you think it would have been brought up by since Earth 2 Flash was there.I recognized the voice from the brief speaking part he had at the end of last weeks show but I didn't really put any thought into it until watching this weeks. I don't think the comment about hard light was a lantern reference, those constructs are composed of energy from the emotional electromagnetic spectrum. Hard light constructs have been used in sci-fi for many years.
I was kinda hoping that Barry would turn out to be faster/more powerful than Zoom, but then have Zoom either outsmart him or showcase the ability to siphon the speed force. Him just plain outclassing Barry the same as Thawne did is a bit lame.
*edit*
Or better yet, have Earth 2 Reverse Flash show up to save Barry because it turns out Eobard Thawne became a hero on Earth 2 instead of a villain.
well, zoom is depowered now so things are a bit more even. I also think we get a Robert queen appeance, maybe not this season, but now that it's been put out there, I think we will get it.That would be pretty cool too...but were that the case you think it would have been brought up by since Earth 2 Flash was there.
I'm pretty stumped as to how they will do much against Zoom, even a cross over with Oliver won't do shit. Zoom just strait up destroyed the guy with no issue at all.
you know who they have to call inI'm pretty stumped as to how they will do much against Zoom, even a cross over with Oliver won't do shit. Zoom just strait up destroyed the guy with no issue at all.
